almostthere Posted July 6, 2006 Posted July 6, 2006 my sister's husband moved out three weeks ago. Supposedly because he couldnt trust her because of something that happened one time 4 years ago. Well...we pulled his cell phone record and tracked down a phone number she didnt recognize being dialed at weird hours. Sure enough it lead us to the girlfriend. My sis called it and left a message for the woman saying i know about you and I am married to the man you are with and we have a home and 4 children and so on on her voicemail. The girl called her back and told my sis she had no idea. She said that she was told they had one baby together when they were young but they never married. Since then my sis married and has three boys with another guy and a dog that was bought for christmas named bear. He told her that he has full custody of their daughter and my sis is taking him to court for custody rights. And he said that him and his daughter have a nanny named Briggetta. SHe went on to say that had she known he was married she wouldnt have talked to him because she was married before with two children and her husband cheated on her and they divorced. Now, the real story goes...my sis and her husband married 12 years ago after finding out they were pregnant with their daughter. since then they have remained married and have had three sons together. They do have a dog named Bear but the nanny she spoke of, Briggetta, just happens to be a 8 year old girl my 8 year nephew has a crush on. Both, my sister's husband and this girl, claim that in a year and a half they have not taken it any further then just friends. no kissing or sleeping together. My sis thinks this girl made up the story. I dont. Do people who are married and find someone else attractive make up stories to start to date this person? The facts this girl gave were right just not real. I believe he is capable of being sneaky because he and his friends have gone out after bowling to dance clubs and dance with women and never say he is married. I think maybe this started out like that but grew into a year and a half relationship that he didnt know how to tell anyone the truth about. What thoughts do you have on it?

Yes; men and women both will lie thru their teeth and come up with all kinda off the cuff stories to try and cover their tracks. She should try to end it and move on. People cheat and then lie to cover the cheating and then lie to cover the lie and then lie to cover those lies. . . well you get the idea. If your sister is interested in staying with him at this point, she needs to find out what he wants to do. If they both want to make the marriage work, then they really need to get into counselling and work out the problems in their marriage.
BUTAFLY Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 My ex was a master at this. the trick was partcial truth + massive lie= an unsuspecting me. I was the ow who didn't know her bf was in a relationship. infact he was engaged and planning a wedding. the lies he told were beauties. My favorate was he needed me to go shopping to help him look for a suit and dress shoes. He explained he had a big church convention to go to (he is a deacon). The truth is he IS a deacon, he did need a suit so it didn't seem out of the ordinary. But the Massive Lie was not a convention but his WEDDING!. Just enough truth to get me to believe. Your sisters husband reminds me so much of my ex. using that same formula. How could the Ow make up that stuff its too detailed with names and facts she wouldn't know if he didn't tell her. Of course he told her this outlandish lie. She is not making this stuff up.

Of course he told her this outlandish lie. She is not making this stuff up. I agree with Butafly here. He twisted the facts around to suit his own purposes. The girl has no real motive to make up such a tale as much as the husband does to provide her with it.
