Say, if I were to pretend we were still dating. My husband doesn't give me clues, like saying, "I want that" during commercials or whatever, but he's a sweet guy that buys me flowers, brought home a kitten, etc. I do non-surprise things for him, like go with him to the mall and buy him a video game or something, but what would be a good surprise thing? I guess I am asking, what is the male equivalent of some flowers or a kitten?

How about golf lessons (if he doesn't play) Make your own Beer or wine kit Fav. sports stuff. Order wine and personalize the labels for him Sexy pic of yourself If he is a college grad how about something from where he graduated (picture frame, beer glasses, bar stool, chair, pennant (sp?) diploma frame) electronics Your husbands favorite dinner (maybe a recipe that his mom or grandma has that he hasnt had in years)

He'd be easier to buy stuff for if he liked "guy" things like alcohol or car stuff or any sports besides soccer. What is a NAV system for cars? What is a 12V set of tools? Haha maybe I should go with gift certificates sometimes. And the recipe is a good idea, I should ask his mom about that. I think the lingerie & that type of thing is covered and I was thinking more of non-sexual, thoughtful stuff just for him. But as for hobbies and stuff of that nature, before I met him his hobby was mostly just using drugs so I don't think I'll try to commemorate that, haha.

Portable navigation system so he would not have to answer the age old directive of "hon, why don't you pull over and ask for directions!!" What is a 12V set of tools? Cordless tools like drills, saws, screwdrivers. The higher voltage ones tend to last longer between charges and have higher torque. Haha maybe I should go with gift certificates sometimes. And the recipe is a good idea, I should ask his mom about that. Coming from a sig other, gift certs is a bad idea and this is coming from the king of giving gift certs. I do not know your relationship with his mom. IMO, I would avoid asking his mom because it may signify you don't know him. But as for hobbies and stuff of that nature, before I met him his hobby was mostly just using drugs so I don't think I'll try to commemorate that, haha. You're right bad idea. Does he like to cook? Maybe some kitchen gadgets!!! That silicon based brush is a good idea if he bbq's. You'll melt before that brush does!
