Author Outcast Posted July 7, 2006 Author Posted July 7, 2006 WTF is intimidating about me? Or I guess now WT(Bleep)? Really? Inquiring minds want to know. At least in writing. People who deal with me in real life aren't scared of me, nor should they be. I'm a pussycat. A softie. Weep because somebody's bf buys them a nice prezzie. Geeze. Nobody should be intimidated by anybody - unless I guess someone large and angry is threatening physical harm but other than that we're all just ants on the beach - dust mites clinging to the planet. Ain't no ant any bigger than any other, IMHO. And certainly not me. Oh and he said 'psychiatrists'.

amaysngrace Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 I was taught that when having an initial conversation with someone, you should be the less talkative one so you can hear what the other person has to say. And go from there. People love to talk about themselves, and if this is the best this guy could come up with in a brief first conversation with you, I'd say drop him like a chilupa! PS I don't find you intimidating at all. I think you seem logical and good at expressing yourself, at least from the posts of yours I've read...not that it should matter what my opinion of you is.
alphamale Posted July 7, 2006 Posted July 7, 2006 I was taught that when having an initial conversation with someone, you should be the less talkative one so you can hear what the other person has to say. but if two strangers are trying to have their 1st conversation then according to your rule neither party would say much and the convo would be over and they'd both split...

No Alpha, I'm receptive in conversation. I add to their thoughts but mostly just to encourage them to continue with what they're saying.
