I completely understand what you mean, though. The dating thing is boring - not because you don't have a population to choose from, but because it's all the same. It's the same courting techniques people put into action, the same story loop - it just ain't possible to act all enamoured once again. I'd rather be gagged with a spoon.

 

I've gone through enough from one pathetic, deception-of-a-lifetime "relationship" to last me a long, looooong way. I'm in no hurry to hop onto the dating wagon, no sirreee. Sure, I do wonder about the future but then there's nothing I can do about it.

 

 

Hey...you're 26, too....you have a lot of time to sink into the dumps yet. Of course, as long as you're single, you'll continue to receive feelers, but aside from being flattered by the attention , you don't have to give it a second thought. Perhaps, in your case, taking a break might actually be necessary - like Outcast suggested, you need to re-orient your "target market".
