cheating?

I was in a relatinship for a long time to a man whome I was in love with. During this relationship he became distant which I now know was due to family matters. However I convinsed myself with the aid of me being a little paranoid that he didnt love me and eventually I left him because of this.

 

He now has another girlfriend, but we've being seeing each other and it seems he never really loved her because he was on the rebound when he met her. We're thinking of getting back together but I wont get into a relationship with him until he finishes with her, which he has promised to do.

 

However she has been very anorexic in the past and now i am worried he hasn't broken off with her because of guilt.

 

My question is:

do you think he wll split up with her, I mean he's a good man but he wouldnt be able to handle the guilt if she became anorexic because of this. So will he be brave enough to go out with me or do you think he'll stay with her because of guilt?

hmmm... that's gonna depend entirely on his character. No one should ever stay in a relationship because of guilt. I did that once, and that's about as untrue to yourself as you can be. At some point you have to say "this is my life too!" and move on if appropriate.

 

Sounds like you really like him, and you sound like a good person, I hope he does decide to go out with you again

He is a wonderful, caring, kind hearted man.

 

Also what I havent said is that his mother (who ardly ever approves of him) approves of this woman, but shes never met me so im owrried she wont accept me.

 

He says he will split up with her but doesnt know how as she lives a train journey away and doesnt want to go there just to cme back.

He did split up with her and we've been in a relationship for two days now.
