I have a big top half and a really small bottom half and i would like some advice and exercises that will make my bun bigger. I have also heard that if you do but exercises it will make your bun smaller but firmer and that is not want i want at all, is this true??

I'm not sure if this'll work, cause I have plenty of junk in my trunk, but have you ever tried squats with weights? I have heard they can be quite effective.

Hey, take it from a girl with a ghetto-booty: you don't want a big ass. Embrace the body you have. However, if you want to shape it up a bit, do some lunges.

 

However, if you really do want a big ass, eat Krispy-Kreams :laugh:.

Alternatively, you could just work on shrinking your top half creating the illusion of a bigger lower half :p

Some men do like a smaller butt... My self, I prefer the ghetto booty. Are you trying to impress a particular person or are you doing it for yourself? Sounds like your an "apple" shape, just do the best with what you got. You can try all of the exercises mentioned, but if you do try and go heavy weight low reps for building mass. If you do alot of reps of low weight, you'll just tone, which isn't necessarily bad but in your case you should do a weight you can do about 5-6 reps of 3 sets. Good luck in your quest for a big bad badunkadunk ;)

Smaller - maybe, firmer -yes.

 

Where you deposit fat on your body depends on your genes, and there's nothing you can do about changing those. It's your genetic makeup to be top heavy, and I'm assuming you have a bigger bust and tummy. (Unless you're the "new-age" shape....I've seen so many women here in the US, whose fat deposits are solely concentrated on the bust..and some of them are very young, ruling out breast implants...:confused: ).

 

Pink Amulet's suggestion does make some sense, actually - although you can't really spot-reduce. But you can definitely tone up.

 

Other than that, the only remedy I can think of is butt implants...

Yes, that's what I thought. Although it seems that's just the body women were pining for anyway - so they just kept eating and drinking more of the hormoney stuff.

I'd not necessarily buy into the hormones theory. I'll bet you look just like some members of your family on one side or the other. I take after my dad's sisters. Unless you are the only person in all of your family that looks the way you do (and your mom wasn't fooling around :laugh: ) then it's about your genes.

Of course, genetics stand first in determining where the lard goes. But the proliferation of bigger-than-average-breasted missies over the past decade begs an explanation.

Sure, the average American is taller and weighs more now - but you know what I mean! Take a look at some 70s or even 80s photos / movies / TV soaps, and compare that to today.

 

Soooo...it's either the hormones, or the miracle bra, or implants. Or just evolution.

That's about right :laugh: Think of me on St. Helena. Now go look at the 50s movies. I think what you're seeing is not overdeveloped bosoms but rather underdeveloped lower bodies because nobody walks, bikes, or moves anymore. Everything below the waist is atrophying :D

Interestingly, I've begun to see really marked anomalies like these in women's bodies these days. Men, they just get obese. Women, they end up having all sorts of extreme body shapes - huge bust or a humongous bottom, etc.

 

That reminds me of an article I read recently - said that on average, the american woman's shape today is square. (Not hourgalss, not pear, not apple).

I'd give you 3 inch's of my derear if I could then we'd both be happier..

 

I sit on my back-end answering phones for 8 hours a day on the most part of a 5 day work week. I eat very little candy and only drink one can of soda a day. My family on both sides get the spread in the behind with age. Its genetic but I do know from the lovely cellulite that most of my rear is due to a lack of buttock and thigh exercise... So just sit on you rump and don't move. Slam a couple of cans of soda and start eating food high in carbs like pasta and your sure to start plumping that rear up and you will be back wishing you could loose it. GUARANTEED

 

It's very hard to break down that fat that deposits on your rear once you get it. It's the hardest fat to loose... YOU DON'T WANT IT SERIOUSLY...

Every time I do lunges my butt seems bigger, and my boyfriend notices.

Do them every other day, combine with squats and use at least 8 pound weights on each hand. Do the walking lounges to add variation, and the reverse lounges (personal trainer here)

What kind of but are you talking about? I would like a bigger but too and have actually been researching how to achieve this. I'm black so when I say bigger but I mean something more "apple bottom" shape, not just large. What shaped are u trying to get? The kind that will fills out APPLEBOTTOM jeans or the kind that fills out The GAP jeans?
