We're leaving this Friday for coastal Maine! :bunny: It’s technically not a vacation for me since I'll be studying/working. Still, being by the ocean will be such a nice change. He decided to take the workshop with me, he said, because he wants us to spend time together and it might be fun.

It's exciting and I'm happy that he'll be there, but the thought of spending two-plus weeks together makes me nervous. I'm afraid that we'll drive each other insane. On the upside, the cottage is pretty roomy and right by the water. If we get on each other’s case I can sit out on the deck and read.

Middle of July marks our six month "anniversary." Wow. Boggles the mind. It's a relatively small blip on the relationship road. However, looking back on where I've been, it's amazing to me that we've been seeing each other for that long and are still happy. Hopefully, it lasts.

For you long-timers out there, how'd you navigate successfully beyond the honeymoon stage? Supposedly it lasts about 3 months to 1 year?

Any suggestions on celebrating apart from dining out/cooking in? We have a couple free days in Maine before we have to get back to work. Has anyone been to Acadia? It’s about 2 hours north of where we’ll be. He really enjoys the outdoors so we were thinking of a small camping side trip there. Being a city mouse, I don't know how romantic it'll be if we’re going to be fighting off poison ivy and bugs, hah. The things we do for love. :p

Just had dinner with him tonight and it was good to see him. Should just remind myself to relax and not worry so much.

Still, does anyone have any ideas for a small anniversary celebration? Thanks. :)
