UnknowingOW Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Ok, so, cannot sleep. Finally am a "subcribing member" of LS. Have uploaded my dog's pic and it's not showing up??? I see it in the edit picture section, but it's not showing up anywhere else. Any thoughts? Nevermind...found out why...duh!
Walking away Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 A welsh corgi! Don't see many of those around! I have a dachshund/yorkie mix. She is adorable and so sweet.... We call her breed a "dorkie!"
Author UnknowingOW Posted June 24, 2006 Author Posted June 24, 2006 A welsh corgi! Don't see many of those around! I have a dachshund/yorkie mix. She is adorable and so sweet.... We call her breed a "dorkie!" Yes...he's pretty odd, not to bright, but he gives me his complete and unconditional love. He never leaves my side unless food is involved. He's my first male. My parents have trained him to come with "here kitty, kitty"...that makes me so mad!!! I've always had female muts. Honestly, my muts were WAY smarter then he is, but I don't care...he love me!
Walking away Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 When I am feeling down and my kids are nowhere around, I hold "Bella"....or affectionately known as "Nana". She loves me to death and follows me around everywhere. Dogs can be so therapeutic.
Author UnknowingOW Posted June 24, 2006 Author Posted June 24, 2006 Jake (my dog) has been dieting. He was 12 lbs over weight. And he's the laziest dog in the world...ha ha ha. Thankfully he's lost enough so I am no longer straining myself to put him in bed. He was weighing in at 42lbs!!!! That is HUGE for a corgi...12 lbs overweight...his back was swaying and he waddles when he walks. Actually, it's pretty funny to watch him walk/waddle. Speaking of weight loss...that's something else I have noticed with all this mind-numbing stuff. I've lost almost 30-lbs. Which I needed. I've always been overweight. I need to lose more too, and shoting for 5 lb increments. Maybe that's a success story or a dieting program. The MM Diet...ha ha ha!
Walking away Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Funny you should mention that MM diet. I lost about ten pounds when we split a few months ago. And, I couldn't afford to lose even one pound. I am slender to start out with.... But, I also affectionately labeled my weight loss as the "(mm's name) diet." Great minds think alike.

I was on the exH's weight loss program in the marriage and then discovered the MM's weight loss plan. They both worked extremely well! This must be the silver lining to bad situtations.....lol
lovernotafighter Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 yep when I started seeing MM and had some teeth drama I lost 25lbs in less than 3 months...haven't put it back on either (thank god)
Walking away Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Yep, well I guess there is a silver lining to every black cloud!
movinon05 Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Ach! I lost 45 pounds at the beginning of my affair. I looked anorexic and it shows up in both my sister and brother's weddings. I have since gained most of it back and then tried to contain it. But truthfully, I look better and healthier than I did back then. I just need to keep it on an even keel and lose a little bit more to be comfortable in my skin.

Author UnknowingOW Posted June 24, 2006 Author Posted June 24, 2006 We should write a book on how to lose weight on the MM or exH diet...lol.
movinon05 Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 We should write a book on how to lose weight on the MM or exH diet...lol. Ugh!! WeightWatchers is much easier mentally and emotionally!!! LOL!
Walking away Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 True, But if you want to lose weight FAST, the MM diet is the way to go! And who needs an upper to stay awake? Nope, you can have these MM for instant insomnia, too! See? I KNEW these MM served a purpose!
scarletletter Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I have lost some weight also but I contribute it to when I am happy, I don't do so much stress-eating. If we have problems in the relationship, I run straight to the freezer for the ice cream. It's amazing the power that emotion has on your food intake.
Jessie61 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 It's amazing the power that emotion has on your food intake. You are right, it is amazing. I stop eating when miserable. Have lost over a stone in weight (approx 6.5 kgs) on the MM diet - and there wasn't much there to begin with!
