But with modern surgical techniques, many doctors are able to perform this operation with minimal effects to sexual function. This is something you should discuss in detail with your surgeon. You may want to do some investigation on your own to see which surgeons have a reputation for performing the operation successfully without affecting sexual ability. Ask your regular doctor, some urologists, or internal medicine specialists for their opinion or referral. Don't get the operation done without looking into this. The most major factor is the doctor who performs the operation.
