Tony T Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 The more patient you are and the more you act uninterested in him, the sooner you'll have him. You have to be cool in all this. If you get all caught up in love stuff, it won't work out for you. Just relax and not care so much.
ashnicole Posted June 20, 2006 Posted June 20, 2006 Don't try to steal him from your friend. Be patient... if it's going to happen, it will. If it's not, move on. You're young, you'll live.
j.carsey Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 The more patient you are and the more you act uninterested in him, the sooner you'll have him. I don't know if that's true! If you act uninterested in a crush, and they are ambivalent about you to begin with than why on earth would there be a connection and a pursuit? Seems to me a lot of people get too cute with this idea of "just ignore the people you like". I've seen it happen a lot, then your crush sticks with someone who does show them interest. So you definitely have to show interest, but still do it in a patient and non desperate manner.
Tony T Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 I don't know if that's true! If you act uninterested in a crush, and they are ambivalent about you to begin with than why on earth would there be a connection and a pursuit? This has to be done very skillfully. There has to be some interest and then a pulling back. Confuse the target. It drives them crazy. When you are ready, they will eat out of your hand. This is not a strategy for those who cannot think out of the box. I totally agree that you cannot show desperation. Aloofness is great. Many people are attracted to those who exude confidence and who seem like they could live without them. Yes, there has to be some interest...but the pulling back is important too. This is all in the initial stages. Practice and you can get good at it. This is not for everybody and doesn't always work. You have to know when to apply this strategy.
