charles2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Posted June 16, 2006 Hi my name is Charles and Its coming up to the 39th anniversary of my dad,s death ( Gordon Haskell). He was 47 and I was 14. It's really weird because it only seems like yesterday that he died and never a day goes by without me thinking of him. When i found this group i thought relatives remembered might be helpful to you, so please don't think i am spamming. My Dad was cremated and I really regret that there is no real grave that I can visit. I wanted a way to permanently express my feelings and share them with family and friends, so I created www.relativesremembered.com to be a free resource to help others. Also it gives me a place to visit as there is no grave. My dad's memorial page: http://www.relativesremembered.com/memorialtemplates/displaymemorial.php?memid=53&totalnumberofresults=3 If it is of help to you, or you can think of any way to improve it please don't hesitate to drop me an email. My condolences for your own loss and all best wishes to you from me.
AMBERINVEGAS Posted June 17, 2006 Posted June 17, 2006 Do you have your fathers remains? don't get spooked but they have a website where they can take a the cremated remains of your loved one and turn them into a gem. You can where it as a ring. It's a diamond.
guest Posted June 18, 2006 Posted June 18, 2006 Hello. No sadly I dont have any of his ashes - wish I did.. I know of the Company you mention - they are called lifegem and started in the USA. They have an office here in the South of England now and I've spoken to them in the past. There are reciprocal links between our websites. I think the idea is really good and given a chance would use it - it's not to everybody's taste but hey what is? Many thanks for your kind thoughts and give me a shout if you ever visit this side of the "pond" in the hope we might meet. I sometimes get to New York.
