The story is a pretty much your typical, "just friends" unrequited love story. I became friends with this girl, and I started to develop feelings for her. After we had been close friends for a few months, I asked her out and she said no.

It's been a long time since then, and I still have these feelings for her. I know better than to try to act on these feelings I have for her, we've drifted apart ever since(we were best friends but now we barely talk) and we're also chaning and going into two entirely different directions, a romantic relationship of any kind is not going to happen.

I want to know if there's any way to stop having these feelings for this girl, I'm sick of this unrequited love.

Of course there is a way. Start dating other people. It's the only way out.
