Suggestion for my situation..

here is the deal..

 

it is not that im not entirely sure what to do.. but i just want to hear the inputs from people...

 

i know breaking up or get over is an option. Apparently that is the reason why i am here.. im here to see if there any suggestions on what to do to see if i can take my ex-back.

 

im 24 and she's 20.

me and my ex been knowing each for a few years.. but we did not go until january of 2 years ago. In the first few 2~3 months of the relationship, it was a long distance situation because i live in california and she lived in new york (i met her before when she was on a vacation to california). then i moved to new york for school. (luckily i was accepted as a transfer to NYU)

during the first 2 months of the relationship.. (she sort of cheated on me. but she told me about right after it happened. when she made out with another guy because she misses me and stuff. Since i had hooked up before and she wasn't the first girl i was with. In addition to the fact that we were miles apart so i accepted it.) and she agreed not to talk to guy again, which indeed she never did throughout the entire relationship. things went smooth; however, i suppose my trust with her was some what damaged in a minor way.. however, in most cases nothing really happened... we had a great time for the next 2 years. Until earlier this year came in.. there is this guy who was trying to go after her from what she said. She was truthful to me and told what exactly what happened. When i was back home for Christmas they went hung out for like twice (play pool or something, since it was not consistent also that i was california i didn't care that much). then i was back after the chrismtas break. she told me the guy consistently want to hangout with her... since ive been hearing about that guy a several times i got mad and told her not hangout because i was afraid the previous problem when she told me that she cheated on me earlier in the relationship would resurface again. At first she did stopped hanging out with him. After awhile, she felt a little depressed that she wasn't able to hangout with him (since she doesn't really have a lot of friend, and for the most part im busy with my school work and wasn't available to be with her all the time) She went hanging out with him one day during the weekend when i was busy studying and wasn't able to goto Jersey (where she lives). She told me about it afterward which i was mad. After that we have fights some what consistently over the person. As a result of this she decided she wants to breakup with me because she felt like she doesn't have much freedom.

 

talking about what to do after a breakup.. it's easy to say then done.. i did a lot of mistakes unintentionally (even though i know i wasn't suppose to do it) it came out of my conscience like trying to reason with logic which everyone should know that relationship has very little to do with logic. We had more fights afterward. She apparently still care about me and still hangout with me everyweekend for multiple days and buy me groceries and stuff. She knows that i really dont want her to go away so never hooked up with anyone even though after we broke up.. just that she letme know exactly who she hungout with.

 

After it has this for a few months, i was trying to see if i can rebuild the relationship. It did not work because i think ive pushed her a little too hard. In addition, she was hangingout with this guy quite consistently.

 

Up until last week, she was thinking about breaking up for real... so she's free to do what she wants... she said she kinda wants to go out with that guy.. although she still cares about me.. (not sure how much). and wanted to help me move and stuff...

 

i got mad.. and then later on in the phone i just said do whatever i dont care..

 

as of right now she haven't told the guy that she's going to date him yet.. and i suppose it could happen soon...

 

ive dated a few girls before.. although my ex isn't perfect but she has certain qualities i value and i rarely see it in girls... she has a lot of issues but i suppose the qualities outweighs the negatives..

 

any suggestions that what i should to do....
