Woggle Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 A woman is a keeper if she sticks by you when things are rough. It is very easy to stay when things are like a romance novel and everything is going well but it takes a strong person to stick by a person when the chips are down. As much as I may knowck women and express doubts about my fiance I must say she is a keeper. Any man would be lucky to have her. She has stuck by me and been a true friend as well as lover through this whole incident with my ex. Her safety is in danger and she still sticks around.

It's got its ups and downs. Somedays your high in the clouds and somedays you're crawling on the floor with your eyebrows. But it's always ALWAYS better when you've got someone there by your side. In fact, it gives meaning to the meaningless. Marry that girl, Wogg.
alphamale Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 you two have been together for like six months...WTF!
laRubiaBonita Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 i've been waiting to see what you might add, ALPHA!!
basscatcher Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 That's so s***ty. She left her husband because he got cancer?? What a bitch! He's better off without her! How could someone DO that to their spouse, during the most difficult and horrible time of their life??? My dad was diagnosed with MS in 92'. In 2004 the VA called him in for a colonoscopy (60 yrs old was time for one they said.) After that coloscopy--6 months later--they diagnosed him with Chronic Ulceritive Colitis and a Staghorn stone that was the size of 4 fingers together. He ended up really sick and was in the VA hospital for 4-5 months and then transferred to the VA hospital here in Minneapolis. He almost died several times. When he was well enough to go into a nursing facility he wanted to get in the facility here-down the road from the hospital. His wife (my step-mother) on the other hand wanted him away from me. My dad had placed me as POA and she was madder then a wet hen.. She managed to get him transferred to a home 3 hours away from me and 3 hours away from her in the middle of no where with no family around or friends. While my father laid in the hospital she started dating her professor at college. I admit my dad wasn't a good husband, he is/was verbally, mentally and emotionally abusive to her. (he was that way to me also growing up). and NOW she doesn't want my dad home. He wants to go home but she doesn't want him home. So he is stuck in a VA Nursing home cut off from everyone. He is getting meaner and more ornery because he feels dumped.
Tim'sAngel Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 you two have been together for like six months...WTF! It's really only been 6 months? Damn Wog you just all kinds of not making sense!! The way u make it sound you guys had been together for years
quankanne Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 pada – can you bring your dad to a facility closer to where you are, just for both your dad's and your peace of mind? Sounds like the step-monster has already written him off, sad to say. what makes a woman – or man – a keeper in my book? Undivided loyalty. Which encompasses the "stick by my mate's side in good times and bad" and (in my opinion) understanding that while there might be more attractive people you're going to meet, your mate is still your top choice.
a4a Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 and NOW she doesn't want my dad home. He wants to go home but she doesn't want him home. So he is stuck in a VA Nursing home cut off from everyone. He is getting meaner and more ornery because he feels dumped. Mentally and verbally abusive to her........ gosh cannot imagine why she would leave him in a home....... looks like she is free of his abuse now. I'd leave him smack in the middle of the woods as well.
Tim'sAngel Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 yeps woggle, ur rite abt this..my neighbour has recently got cancer and his wife left him bkoz of that..weird and harsh na? she's so pitiless..ur rite to say that many partners prefer to b by ur side till there is EVERYTHING..once there r probs and others issue, they flee That is such s***!! Damn I can't imagine leaving the one I loved because they got sick!! That to me woudl be even more reason to stick with them!! Look at Dana Reeves!! I respect the hell out of that women! Of course, I'm sure the bitch posted about aove was no in love.
basscatcher Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 QUANK--I don't have means to get ahold of all the info for the paperwork to make the arrangements and also it would take months MONTHS to get him relocated and it would cost more money to move him and they have no insurance.. Step-mother will stall and make it a hassle and I'm tired of fighting about all this. My dad says I am the reason why he is still alive.. If it wasn't for me he would be dead.. Long story.............. A$A--agree, he was abusive and still is verbally which impacts mentally and emotionally. This IS the reason why she doesn't visit him very often. Also why neither of us call him much... I hurt for him because he IS my dad... I do love him but a peson can only take so much abuse and then if you can get away you do... I can understand both sides of this dynamic but I am human and he is my father and its sad all the way around.
alphamale Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 It's really only been 6 months? Something like that T'sA...maybe 7 or 8 months at the most.... In 2004 the VA called him in for a colonoscopy my dad does those
