In any case, probably a good idea if you ask her.

I used to live in NYC. Being NYC, Do you dance? I believe Lincoln Center is about to have their dancing under the stars. Do some slow dancing then take her to a concerto, concert, ballet, whatever. On some nights, it is fast dancing like tango or salsa, don't really want to fast dance with her in heels? It shows your moves, your class, the botanical gardens is a little on the feminine side and the Yankees (or Mets) is too masculine. Why not ask her? Also being in NYC, you can pretty much buy flowers at almost any corner. Why not do that? You get your vibe then plus you can be a little on the unpredictable side. I have never given a gift on the 2nd or 1st date but did send flowers asking for a date. Not a single red rose but something like a purple rose.
