erika2610 Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 i'll say it again It's good to see here that most of you girls support each other, and nobody judges each other. Back when I started here, we had alot of problems with people coming in here with the sole purpose of riling other people up. They would come in every once in a while just to stir the pot. Now, a couple years later, this forum has gotten to a place where people can get along I know you don't see me around alot, because it's been years since I was with my MM, and I never did NC.. I just walked away. So I don't feel as if I can give good advice to some of you. But I still pop in now and then, and TRY to help I think it's easier now to come into this forum, because you don't really run into people fighting so much.. Just my opinion

Just my opinion I am hoping that you are only referring to this thread category (the other man/woman) because overall on this site, there is still quite a bit of judging, name calling, and that other BS. But as an observer of this thread category, I have noticed too that it has gotten alot better since I have been here at LS, which was a little over a year ago.

I was talking about this thread I've been here for close to a couple of years, and I know there's alot of BS and name calling in the other threads.. it gets outta hand sometimes too. The OW forum used to be the worst when it came to people getting along, but now I see people get along better than in alot of other threads
movinon05 Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 I've only been here since March/April, but I was actually thinking about this a few days ago. While there is some bashing every once in awhile, and I really get angered by black and whiters, I started to think. I'm coming to the conclusion that people who come here start reading around, hearing other people's stories, really see what other people are going through, as they are going through their own problems, and eventually start learning that there really is no black and white. There are people who make mistakes, people who have been burned, people who share compassion, people who hurt for whatever reason. LS gives you a chance to really see that you are not alone, and that, yes, other people have feelings, even if you don't agree with them. You begin to see two sides to the story. And I have to believe that it starts to make a difference in your life and how you perceive other people on the opposite end of the spectrum. It opens your eyes to everything. Learning from other's mistakes and other's pain is a good thing. Everyone who is not here could benefit from being here.
memphissouthernbelle Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Reading stories by women and men who are going through the same or similar situations as me has been great. I was scared that I wouldn't be able to find a board like this that wasn't just plastered with comments like "whore, slut, skank, etc." That is not what anyone needs to hear and I appreciate having a place to go where most of the people seem helpful and caring.
