Big_A Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 The second law of thermodynamics: "The entropy of an isolated system not at equilibrium will tend to increase over time, approaching a maximum value."
Big_A Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 More accurately the quote should be: “All things come to an end.” This is the good and the bad. Remember that, “All bad things must come to an end.”
Author PeanutHead88 Posted June 3, 2006 Author Posted June 3, 2006 Can you try to explain a little bit of that for me? some of it I understand, but rather understand through easier terms? what about the chaos theory ?
In Sync Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 " all good things must come to an end" Why? How would you ever learn when something is good if you don't experience the end of it. You can never know if something is good until you notice when its not there.
Outcast Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 It's simply a fact. Everything ends - by death if nothing else. Don't read anything more into it than that. Remember, for every saying, there's a saying that contradicts it anyway. I suspect that somebody has quoted this to you regarding the end of a relationship in the sense that good things have to end. They don't - that's nuts.
Author PeanutHead88 Posted June 4, 2006 Author Posted June 4, 2006 Thought maybe all good things come to an end, for the better to arrive..but I guess thats not true and I really shoulden't look in to it any more than that Well the chaos theory is about crazy" things happening, than everything gets together in place can that pertain to break ups?( not getting back together)
westernxer Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Chaos theory deals with behavior of dynamic, non-linear systems, such as economics, meteorology, solar systems, seismology, and population growth. It uses mathematics to predict and demonstrate order in the way these systems work. There is some depth to it and it is quite boring to talk about... the exception is the Ian Malcolm character from "Jurassic Park." Whether it applies to human psychology (regarding relationships) is beyond me, since I'm not an expert on either topic. I believe that wanting to get back together with someone is another type of chaos altogether.
