7on Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 So this girl I have JUST started seeing went to study abroad this summer. I was over in Europe at the end of May for different reasons and met up with her in Budapest. haha, well I didn't MEET her in Budapest; she's the roommate of my roommate's girlfriend. Anyway, are there any tricks to not miss anyone too much? It's only been two days since I've been back in my small little town (for work otherwise I would have stayed in Europe over the summer) and the small college town is really getting to me! Just in the past couple of days I've had 7 emails and 3 IMs. Not that I'm complaining all it does it remind me how much I miss her and we usually just talk about how much we miss each other and how much we're going to make out when she gets back Anyway all of this is not helping me make time fly by. Perhaps I'll be fine in a week but I haven't posted here in quite a while and you guys are chalk full of useful information - if not entertaning BTW I'm 21 she's 22 as that's usually one of the more common questions...
tiff2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Yeah I know it's tough, my bf lives across the other side of the continent, and now he's so busy that it can go two days before I hear from him... It gets to me too... i just cant wait though because I finally get to see him in 2wks!! It will get better, once you are a bit more into a routine, and hanging out with friends.. Keeping busy is key! Best 2 u! Tiff
Author 7on Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 I think chatting has helped me a tad. Though she usually chats with me as she's going to bed... and I'm still at work. 90% of the time the chats end up discussing "inappropriate" subjects so hiding the screen from the co-workers is a must. But otherwise I think I'll be fine. I think the initial shock was worse than anything. I did call and talk to her yesterday. She is recovering from a sore throat so her voice was kinda shot but it was nice. She sings opera - or rather wants to - she mostly sings with choirs currently. damnit, conversing with her really makes me want to do something blatantly ridiculous like flying out there - but I don't have the money
