Diver012 Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Self improvement is one of the best ways to deal with loss of a loved one. I have decided to sharpen my social skills a bit, and to learn how to ride a motorcycle, something I have always wanted to do. I rode on the back of one today and it was awesome. Then he handed me the keys and told me to pratice starting and stoping. This was a nice bike too... Took a lot of balls to do that... Next step, get a provisional license, then find me a starter bike... I also plan on getting back into swimming...
GB111 Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 As a long time motorcycle rider (I currently ride a HD Springer Softtail), I encourage you to take a class through your local community college or other motorcycle club. Besides lots of great tips on how to be safe, it's likely to save you money on insurance. Sorry to get off track from the purpose of your post, but while it's a great time, there's no quicker way to die. Just lost a 23 year old co-worker on May 5 to a motorcycle accident. Best, GB
Author Diver012 Posted June 2, 2006 Author Posted June 2, 2006 I have already contacted a Community College and am getting information on when I can go take a class. They said they had openings next month. I am waiting the completion of that class before I make any purchases..
