I was watching a program the other night, It was talking about the AIDS virus, how they THINK it got started. It talked about the spread of AIDS, how it spread, what types of people it was more likely to infect. I was wondering if anyone here, or others who you know that have had such a startling discovery. The thread is NOT limited to just AIDS, but to all STD's.:eek:

My gynecologist got on my case about using 2 different kinds of protection with my last serious relationship because she saw women coming in often enough with STDs when they were long since married. She said she had an old woman come in with an STD after her husband took a trip to Thailand. That was such a sad story :(

My husband and I were both tested for everything. The testing for men involves a q-tip to the pee hole, which I hear was very unpleasant. I had little sympathy. :laugh:

 

This is one of the hardest things to think about as a BS -- all the crud you are potentially exposed to.

My XH cheated with OM's and OW's. When I found out I was tested immediately and so was he...we were negative. We stayed together for another 2-years sorting through the crap only for me to realize he was going to contiune on the path of self-destruction with OMs. 1.5 years after my divorce I got the phone call came saying he was HIV+, and there was I slight chance I could have contracted it. Talk about a week of LIVING HELL. That was 7-years ago. I am clear with no STDs, no HIV, and no AIDS. I considered myself lucky, although I know there has to be others who weren't.

When I learned the truth all those years ago, he was say he was "Tri-sexual" Meaning, he love him, himself and "I" meaning him. Weird. What i was told during the discovery was he was only having sex with men. However, we recently spoke after a 7-year NC and he stated there were women in my bed everyday while I was at work, and the men were on the weekend. He said his reasons for never telling me about the women were because he thought I would take that much worse then the men...WHATEVER!

 

As for is he gay. I think so. He's been with a guy for the last 7-years, but still floats between women...sick world out there.

How did you find out... other than actually finding him with another man?

KHLF. Ya know, I don't know how to answer that. As for do I currently now have a gay husband...no. I divorced him 8-years ago. He never stated he was gay. Only that he loved having sex with any consenting adult he could. Do I think he's gay? Yes. I just asked him that question last night when we saw each other after 7-years of NC.

 

How I found out...his lover called me. We were in a terrible spot in the marriage. He wasn't coming home. He was using drugs..the smoking kind. I would stay up and wait to see when he would come home. Weeks before the "call" he came home and my sister said, "are you gay?" He went off like a crazy man...something I had never seen. Then the following week he comes home at 4am and in someone's elses car. I walked out the car, and the older man was obviously gay...my H was driving this guys brand new Caddy. Anyway, I ran out to the car and started screaming "are you "blanking" my husband...they both laughed and said I was crazy. Of course I was crazy...what the hell is going on???

 

The following week was the call. Some guy my husband said was his "friend" called with the dirty news. Something to the affect of this: "Hi, where's D? You know I really need to see him. He's my best friend. I'm in trouble and need his help. Do you know where I can find him? (no I responded). (then the next lines were the clearest of all). Well, did you know "D" is "VERY" popular in the gay clubs in town? (no, I responded but I knew his brother was gay and they hung out sometimes). (then it clicked) . You mean "VERY" popluar as in you are having sex with my husband? (my world went out the window) (he responded) Why yes, he's one of the most sought after tails in town, honey. "D" told me you were completely cool about since you have an open marriage. (open marriage my ass!!!!!!! GAY?????). I went looking for my husband that night and got the answers to all my questions...and trust me, the answers are sicking because I learned this had gone on over my entire marriage (6-years at that point). He sought counseling and discovered what is known as sexual addiction. It helped, but only to tear the bandage off slowly.

 

Ultimately we divorced....ya cannot compete with gear you can never get.

Sick as it sounds, I think it would be easier to deal with my man cheating on me with another man instead of another woman.

 

I guess it is because I don't think there's much competition with him screwing around with another man. Can't compete when you don't have the equipment that he likes.

 

You know, when he cheats with another woman, you can always ask yourself, "What did she have that I don't?" When he cheats with a man, you don't have to ask that question. You already know!

 

Nevertheless, sounds like you have been through hell. Good riddance is all I say!
