Tim'sAngel Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Reading another thread made me think of something I've been meaning to post on here. I have had anxiety attacks for awhile now. It's better now than when I was younger. I actually had one today, the first time in about 3 or 4 months. When I get one, I get this horrid feeling that I'm fixing to die. I start feeling like any moment the room will turn black and I will go blind. Sometimes I start shaking and feel as though I will pass out. They last for about 5, but I feel ill and weak and tired for maybe an hour or so afterwards and I usually have to take a nap to get back on track. Does anyone else suffer from these attacks? What do you do for it?
Author Tim'sAngel Posted May 29, 2006 Author Posted May 29, 2006 And also, can hormones be the cause or a cause of anxiety?
Yamaha Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Yes. I have suffered with anxiety attacks and pretty much the way you described. I would get so keyed up and it would build until it felt like I was going to die. I haven't had one for awhile and I really don't know why they have decreased in frequency but I'm not complaining. If I ever have another one it will be to soon. I think it's nerves and events in our lives that cause anxiety.
