lillilli Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 I have two big events on this weekend, and both will involve a lot of heavy drinking (one is best friend's engagement, the second is bf's birthday party). The problem is, I usually can't get drunk again if I've have a big one the night before. I want to enjoy myself and not be a sook in the corner at my bf's party, but I'm not sure how I can back it up again when I'm also expected to be the life of the party at the engagement. Does anyone have any tips on how to have two big nights in a row without feeling totally seedy the second night? I've been advised that if I have different alcoholic drinks on the second night I should have just as good a time, but I'm not sure if that's just a myth. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!! P.S. Yes I know it would be easier just to not drink at one of these events but I live in Australia, that's not an option!
norajane Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 Just don't drink to excess. Eat a lot of food throughout. For every drink you have, have a glass of water. If someone brings you a fresh drink, put your other one down - you don't have to finish every drink.
RecordProducer Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Have a good rest between the two parties! I usually like the hangover the morning after. Have fun and don't make a fool out of yourself!
Guest001 Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Haha excellent answers!! You could also try using those set of pills thatll make sure you dont have a hangover. Ive never tried them but Ive had a few friends that swear by them. If not I normally take 2 BC powders with a bottle of gateraide. The next morning it cures my hangover in 10 mins but you could still feel a little icky. Eating food while your drinking is also very good advice. Most definally eat a good meal before you drink. You could also drink slow, this works great I highly recommend it. I do this everytime I drink (unless Im on a boat) and while everyone else is sloshing about on the floor like an out of water fish, Im clear minded enough mess with them. 8P
ronnieromance Posted June 1, 2006 Posted June 1, 2006 Don't drink to the point of feeling like poop the next day. And drink a lot of water during the nights and in between. Alcohol dehyrates and the water you drink between drinks will not only help rehydrate you, it will help your liver process the toxins faster. -R-
