Guest Posted May 27, 2006 Posted May 27, 2006 I have horrible commitment phobia, complete with constant anxiety and panic attacks. I am trying to fix a relationship with a person I love very much. No matter how much I love everything about him, when I think about him I feel emotionless, empty and the thought of him brings a wave of anxiety. I have been medicated (Zoloft) and am seeing a therapist twice a week. Has anyone has success overcoming commitment phobia? I am hopeless and some success stories would help.
milokins Posted May 29, 2006 Posted May 29, 2006 I have a friend who was terrified to even say I love you to his girlfriend. After 3 months of counseling, he found himself and came to the realization that he couldn't live without this girl. I think you are on the right track by seeking help.
