kona53 Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 I met this guy online four months ago and he has flown across the country to visit me every month since then. I found out that after eight years of being divorced from his unfaithful ex-wife, he still kept their wedding pictures in his attic. He threw them out at 2 am in the morning when I got upset over it. He said he just didn't have the time and that it was not an issue. Last week, he flew over and as we were both praying, he had called me by her name. He swears that he is over her a long time ago and he cried and said he did not want to lose me because of something stupid that he did. He said that he was pressured and felt like walking on eggshells because I had issues about him being married before -- well, this incident just increased my concerns. He committed to meet with someone (e.g, spiritual director) to discuss this problem and he had also asked me to do the same with my therapist. He asked me to go on an engagement encounter with him next month to thresh out issues before we actually get engaged next year. Do you think he is over her? Or should I just get away as far as I can?
