i hate to admit this. but i'm starting to lose my hair. and i'm only 22. at this pace i'm becoming george costanza by 25. only i'm a lot cuter. this is terrible! i'm pretty sure there were at least 10 women rejected me solely due to this hair problem. and that's pretty much all of what i have ever approached since my baldness became visible. now i'm just wondering how many women on earth would like to date a bald guy? or is there any at all? :(

My boyfriend has lost a significant amount of hair right along the hairline and he is only 21! He recently buzzed his hair and I think he looks more mature and sexier than ever! Find the right person who does not judge solely on looks. People judge in this manner, because they are insecure in themselves and fear what others may think of them dating a "balding" guy. Screw those girls.

Relax and enjoy your new hairstyle! A lot of girls find it sexy.

Well, my ex had a receeding hairline and he was young too. I never had a problem with it :) I thought he was very handsome regardless.

I wouldn't worry about it. It isn't important to most women.

All it means is that there will be more focus on your eyes. Nobody who rejects you because of hair - presence or absence thereof - is worthy of you.

Posted

People will reject you for being bald only if you're insecure about it and it shows -- and in those cases, it's really the insecurity that is unattractive, not the baldness.

Well said Otter :)

I happen to think that some men who are balding or bald are attractive....

some men with full heads of hair are just fugly! :lmao:

Just never do a comb over!!! I think if a guy is loosing his hair keep the rest very short and dont put gel crap on the scant amount of hair in the balding area............. or it looks like a baby birds head that is trying to sprout feathers! :lmao:

I am tired of hearing women saying that he is "bald" as if he was ill or stricken. Being bald is like growing older, or getting wrinkles. It's natural.

If a woman is obsessed with dating men with full heads of hair then she could be classed as extremely shallow indeed or have an unbalanced sense of youth. Certainly she may be completely mistaken because her current hairy beau could end up bald anyway later. If a man said that he wouldn't date half the women population because their breasts were too small (or big) he would be listed a chauvinist and sexist fool. Yet daily I hear women express their interest that "my man MUST have a full head of thick shiny locks". It is as if a sign of dating success is to date the man with the most hair. Sigh.

My own advice is to take the bull by the horns and accept that not all women will love you as a bald man, but then they may not have gelled with you anyway-and what do they know anyway! If a woman judges you by your hair she is probably not worth knowing in the first place (shallow) and if you are a woman, imagine someone judging you by the size of your ass. Instead guys, remember that around half the female population will love you for your looks and see a shaved head as very masculine, virile or even not important at all in the equation.

My advice is to join the shaven-headed generation and give yourself some confidence and panache by dressing well, looking good and getting your nicely buffed head a tan. Be cool, be sophisticated and learn to go for the ladies who love your style. Don't aim for the ones who want a surrogate luscious-locked salon owner. I'd have rather been Yul Brinner than Casy Kasem any day.

Next time someone checks out your lack of hair on a date you have just met an unsuitable match. If you wish to point out their failings too, please go ahead!

All the best my good man ;)

Very well said Otter!

Look at Chris from AI. OMG that dude is HOT!!! Jean-Luc Picard is hot too. My ex was balding too. I think he would look so much better if it was completely shaved tho.

Some men DO judge women by the size of their ass or boobs. Since I have small ones, I know exactly how it feels to be judge on your body. However, like you said, for every man who doesnt like the size of my boobs, there are plenty of other men who do, so I focus on the ones who do. It's ALL in the confidence.

Small boobies all the way as far as I'm concerned dgiirl! ;):p

My SO has lovely tiny pert titties, just a handfull, lovely! Can't be doing with massive great tits, do nothing for me, especially those fake plastic types!

I'm not really a boob though, more of an arse man myself, strictly women mind!! ;)

As for Jean Luc. Patrick Stuart (sp?) it for me is not a hottness factor......

the man has presence......

Sean Connery has presence......

Hell for that matter even Johnny Carson had a little bit of presence.

Not one of them are hot...... but they have extreme presence...

I think all are bald or balding????

I think John Cusack has up and coming presence... again not hot but presence.

Tom Cruise....... has nada...... mel gibson...... get 50 points for effort to attempt to attain presence. :lmao:

My H has that quality as well... thus the attraction. I think... but has too much hair on his friggin head! :lmao:

Just shave your head. The problem isn't you being "bald" It's the fact you're balding and not accepting it. Scott Ian from Anthrax is a perfect example.

He had long hair, started losing it and spent a relatively short time in the denial phase. He just cut it. A lot of women like bald men. I can't think of any who want bald men pretending they have hair.

I'm losing my hair as well.

One of the believed causes of male pattern baldness is high testosterone.

That's right, dude... you've got an abundance of the male hormone. Ladies, beware. ;)

BTW... I'm suddenly a little surprised that Alpha seems to still have his hair... :)

It is just a preference and not any more shallow than how men reject fat girls.

I hear ya brother, going bald young can be real tough on the ego/self esteem. At least you are out of high school. I was 16 when i started losing it. Let me tell you this, it will not hinder your ability to obtain your fair share of females once you get rid of your insecurities about it. I used to be so insecure about it and it drove women away. I wore hats all the time and my confidence was sky high and had no problems with the fairer sex.... but once i took the hat off, my confidence would plummet and women have a radar for meekness in men. I just shave it now and I never have problems getting female attention, my current girl loves me bald. I get compared to that Chris D. dude from AI all the time( I dont watch TV and don't even know what he looks like, all i know is he's "hot") He has done wonders for the balding youth out there. Never a better time to be bald

Get that head shaved!!!

Believe me. I had a close crop for a long time, I am in my mid forties. My Gfs at the time didn't want me to be shaved.

Then I become single again, shave my head completely, and bingo! Now I am seeing a 29 yr old woman.

It does seem to make women notice you more, and I am not the narcisistic type who thinks all women notice him.

I have noticed far more women looking into my eyes for a longer period of time and thats just in a bar or even walking down the street.

So bald is more than acceptable these days.

I echo the poster that said never do a comb over, that sucks.

My present gf also echoed a point made by some posters about presence, she said I seemed to "occupy my space very well".

So let the hair go and enjoy the experience.

I dated a guy who was going bald from about age 22 and he looked hot (his personality was another matter!). But actually I think shaved heads/close crops are VERRY sexy!

Get it cropped and be proud!

Shaved totally bald is so hot! In fact the shaved head look is the closest I come to having a type. If I point out a guy as hot, my friends always tease me because it is almost always a guy with a shaved head and they knew I'd pick him out. Especially on men of color, phew! it makes me weak in the knees just thinking about it. It takes a sexy, confident man to wear a bald head.

I have a thing for skin...

I love a bald, shiney head as much as a man with a full head of hair.

The benefit to bald heads is I don't pull his hair!!!!!:o And its easier to give a scalp massage.

I love kissing a bald head and rubbing my finger tips across his scalp...

If you losing it and its significant enough already then cut it short short or clean shave it. I find few men balding with longer hair attractive. I see it as a state of rebellion against life and a lack of acceptance to change.

I once had my hair cut short like Sinead O'Conner did!! Everyone tripped out because I am female!!! Isn't that a laugh!! If I can do it as a female why cant you do it. Don't you have a risky bone in your body. Take the chance. If you can't adjust to it then grow it out again and fight against what will happen anyway..

Your wasting your energy struggling with accepting the fact your losing your hair when you can be focusing on other things in life.
