Hello everybody! (1st post)

I realize the topic title is a little...whatever, I couldn't think of anything else. Sorry...oh and hopefully I put this in the right section of the forum.

I need help and opinions from guys and gals both!

Ok, so I finally built up the courage (after weeks of being too shy) to walk up to this girl and talk to her. Actually, she had just left the building and I said to myself "Listen you idiot, she's leaving, if you don't talk to her now you might not get another chance! GOOOO!" Anyway I ran after her (not literally), and I asked her if she's going out with anybody at the moment. She said that she just broke up recently with her boyfriend with whom she had a pretty long relationship. So I try to make her feel a little better, and then I come right out and ask "So you think you wanna maybe go out some time?" She responded with, "Well...maybe...I can give you my phone number." So I record her number and say farewell.

Now I really wanna take this girl out, but since she just got out of a big relationship I don't wanna push the whole thing on her. I'm thinking that I need to sort of ease into the relationship, but how can I do this? How long should I wait before I call her so not to seem all desperate and as I said, "pushy." I don't want to be intruding if she's in need space. I dunno if that makes sense....I was planning on giving her a call tommorow night (actually, tonight seeing as how it's 2am) and asking her again what she thought about us going out.

Sorry if that's confusing. Could you all maybe give me some advice or input or just plain comments on the matter? My experience with women is close to nonexistant, so it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks bunches.
