One of my friends - let's call her Jane - has a boyfriend so she wasn't looking to hook up with any of the guys. But she still danced and flirted with one in particular. Then she came up to me and whispered, "He already asked if I had a boyfriend, and I told him yes. But if either you or Kerry (my other friend) want to make out with him, go ahead." Her statement just made me laugh. It smacked of so much insecurity - like, why would she need to tell me that this guy had asked her about her boyfriend status? And to say "So if you want to make out with him, go ahead" - it just sounds like "You can feed off my scraps." It just amazes me - this isn't a college girl but a 27 year-old woman. So immature. Any comments?

Yes. She is getting an ego boost and feed from telling you that she does not want the guy but you can go get * whats left * . If she has a bf I don't think its cool to be flirting big time with another guy. She is showing off....to you and your friend.
