Jolie Posted October 16, 2001 Posted October 16, 2001 I know that I am a pretty girl. I am 5'7", 120 lbs. I get asked out a lot, but i already have a boyfriend. We've been together for almost a year now. At the beginning of the year, my boyfriend and I were talking on the phone and he was telling me about his friend, where he lived, what he does, what ethnicity he is, etc., and then he fervently said, "yeah, he's got a girlfriend and she's SOOOO PRETTY!" I understand that yeah, it's fine for a boyfriend or girlfriend to complement on the looks of some other. I can handle that. But, the problem is, is that my boyfriend never, NEVER EVER has told ME that i am pretty or that I am beautiful. He has NEVER complimented me or even just looked me straight in the eye and say,"gosh, you're soo beautiful." So i guess this is why I'm jealous of his friend's girlfriend of whom I've never met nor seen. I know I have insecurity, But why does a guy compliment on how gorgeous or pretty some other girl is than his own girlfriend? *sigh*
Paulie Posted October 16, 2001 Posted October 16, 2001 It was simply inconsiderate of him to put that much emphasis behind it. If he had simply mentioned the facy that she was pretty, that'd be another story.

My guy doesn't tell me I am pretty or beautiful alot, but he compliments other things. Maybe he just doesn't know how to say what he is thinking.
