Tonight, I was haning out with a friend I have had for many years, though we hadn't seen much of each other and had started re-connecting lately since my breakup and because of the fact they will be graduating soon and moving far away.

Anyways, this person had had a really hard time in their life recently, to the point of feeling suicidal, and never called me for support. I thought I knew why, I thought they were over-reacting.

Tonight, after I had been blabbing all about my ex AGAIN, they gave a hint there had been a deeper problem in their life that was hard because they didn't know who they could take to about it. Unfortunately, I'm rather perceptive and I couldn't help but indirectly wager a guess and it turned out I was dead on.

And at that point I realized, really realized, how little my problem was. How I would take my problem ten times over ever having to deal with what they went through. I let them know they could always talk to me about it, no matter what.

So my point is let's all try to remember that as bad as we are feeling, there are worse problems all around us. We may be getting it good.

Yes I agree. Except for the last part. I'm not getting any at all, good or bad.

I'll admit I hate it the most when NOTHING is happening. But neutral is better than bad, even if its hard to remember that sometimes.
