I have been going out with this girl for almost 2 months now and it never came to mind to call her at night, becuz we would always talk over msn till like 11. So a few days ago she jus comes out and says "why do u never call me". That surprised me becuz well i didn;lt have an answer, so me being me I called her that night lol knowing she would say i only called becuz she said something but obviously she wanted me too and like dit. So we talked for a few hours and time flew by. SO what I am trying to get at is how often would u phone your BF/GF? I'm only 16, 17 this 31st! so basically my weekday thing is go to skool then hang out with her/her and her friends basically everyday after skool till like 7-8, and then go home and talk with her over msn etc till 10. I dunno why I jus never felt like I had to phone her cuz I would always jus talk over msn, but it makes sense cuz I usually get off the comp at 10 and then i jus do whatever till I fall asleep around 12. Sorry for putting my life story here but I'm jus curious about this topic. Thx in advance for any replys:) EDIT: I also am kinda against this whole posting on dating websites for answers cuz I should jus do what I feel is right, thats jus what I think for myself, but I'm jus kinda curious eheh.
whichwayisup Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 It's sad when online chatting night after night has taken over teens talking on the phone...It's OK in moderation, but if all you're doing, night after night is talking on MSN, that's not good! You two are missing out on real conversations, those wonderful and fun (even sexy) moments by talking! Having your folks yell at ya for being on the phone for too long! Keep your relationship real by talking on the phone! Make an effort to please her! Trust me, it will pay off in the end.

Plus, your comfort level with her will be less and less if the relationship and serious discussions happen online. Hey R! 3-0. Can we say byebye to Ottawa now???

I'm jus sayin that most of the times that we talk LATE AT NIGHT is over the computer but its not super often but I get what you guyz are talking about. But I'm jus wondering HOW OFTEN is too often to call like I dont wanna annoy her or anything. Online chatting is like 1% of our relationship so its not like its ruining our communication skills lol. I jus want input on how often i guess is too often to CALL:confused:

Everyone has there own definition on when its too much. thats something that you two have to figure out.

The Senators are facing elimination. They need a miracle.

Go with your gut, if you feel you're calling TOO much, then back off abit. Also, tell her she can call you as well. It shouldn't be onesided when one is in a relationship. Both people have to put in effort to keep things alive!
