i've been having doubts about my relationship with my boyfriend of 2 1/2 years now. he'll be meeting my parents for the first time since we've been together, i'm graduating from college, and a million other things are happening. but i feel that all these things signal to him and other people that we are looking to get married. but i don't want to get married...and i don't think he's the guy i want to marry. i do love him though. but for his sake, i feel like i should break it off. i'm just not sure how to do this. we've been together for a long time. we have all the same friends. and his family has been wonderful to me while mine have been away. i don't want to just throw it all away. any advice?

Your right its not fair for you to string him along. Just cause its comfortable doesn't mean its right, its time for you to grow up and make some hard choices, and one of those is setting free a guy you have no intrest in marrying or wanting to be a long term time with him. You are going to lose more the longer you stay with him

I agree. You sound like you're not in love with him anymore. The worst thing you could do to him is string him along. Just be gentle;)

I agree with both Tiki and Butta. Get over it. Life isn't fair. Maybe you haven't been out in the world long enough to know this, but the sooner you come to peace with it, the easier the rest of your life will be.

 

You're young and there's plenty of time to meet someone else. Do you really think if you don't want to marry him now that you will in a few years?
