Author Sassy Posted May 10, 2006 Author Posted May 10, 2006 Sassy let me know how you like the tapes after a couple weeks. I was thinking of getting them as well. Maybe belly dancing too. HG i like your quote might have to use it for my away message! The passive aggressive one.
catgirl1927 Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Ok, I didn't know. I thought they were ALL pole dancing. I saw her being interviewed once about these exercise tapes and I got the impression that they were all pole dancing exercises. I learn SO much on LS! There's lapdance, striptease with a chair, I think there's pole in there. I'd have to look again, but there are lots of options because most people don't have access to a pole. Most people, anyway...

I have learned alot on LS too!
tinktronik Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I was waiting for you to respond, Tink. Stalking and all that. I danced a lot growing up, mostly really formal ballet and tap and jazz, so cheesy. When I was in late HS, and college, I started doing belly dancing and ended up teaching classes and performing at private parties (birthdays, fesitvals, blah blah blah). It really gave me body confidence and made me feel comfortable in my own skin. I noticed that a lot of women took the classes for those reasons, and many were successful. The ones who looked funny, making "chicken arms", that didn't have loose hips, I think they were just unable to get over their own self-consciousness but I felt bad for them. I mean, it must hurt to be in your body like that all the time, tensed up and stiff!!I think dance really does help connect you to your body more .I know I am more graceful when Im doing some form of dance and just more aware of what I'm physically doing ,it flows much more smoothly.

So you're saying not everyone has a pole in the middle of their bedroom...hmmmm. I did not know that.

a4a Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Cool ! I bet pole dancing is fun but looks hard as hell. It is not hard at all, upper body strength really helps to make moves look more effortless ...........shhhhhh...... some secrets are best left secrets :lmao:

tinktronik Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Ouch i am sure that would hurt! Its more embarrasing that anything , "trained professionals" are not supposed to fall on their heads.
a4a Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Its more embarrasing that anything , "trained professionals" are not supposed to fall on their heads. Like those gymnastic pros that end up flashing a booby or get a bad case of the wedgies with a butt cheek hanging out in the middle of a routine? except pro pole dancers are not too worried about that are they?
Author Sassy Posted May 10, 2006 Author Posted May 10, 2006 Its more embarrasing that anything , "trained professionals" are not supposed to fall on their heads. I'm sure it can be embarrassing. But you could say you meant to do that!

If my boobs or but slipped out I would be embarrassed , nobodys seen me sans clothes besides my s/o in a long time .
kitten chick Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I was thinking about getting a brass pole installed in my bedroom but I'm not sure that it will go with the ceiling mirrors. Do you think I should get a chrome one?
alphamale Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 I was thinking about getting a brass pole installed in my bedroom but I'm not sure that it will go with the ceiling mirrors. Do you think I should get a chrome one? well, if pornography is involved I'd like to get in on it also
suga Posted May 10, 2006 Posted May 10, 2006 Pole dancing is all about upper body strength...also abs...so do situps and pushups and work them biceps(bicep curls with dumbells) and that back(chin ups)...oooh and stretching so you can slam to the ground full straddle split...LOL...use the cardio videos before you stretch to warm the muscles first.
a4a Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 I was thinking about getting a brass pole installed in my bedroom but I'm not sure that it will go with the ceiling mirrors. Do you think I should get a chrome one? that depends on lighting and your attire..... Chrome has more of a modern look to it where the brass has more of a classic look. With the chrome you can be a bit more glitzy in your attire. Sparkles and feathers with the brass you can go with the animal prints ect. However chrome will mesh well with a zebra print thong and tear away bra If your local fire house has a pole installed I would suggest practicing there. The poles a thicker than stage or home versions and fire fighters are trained for medical emergencies and would be able to bandage your head if you fell on it. Of course you will build up a better grip as well on a thicker pole
Author Sassy Posted May 11, 2006 Author Posted May 11, 2006 Thanks for all your replies and will keep you posted HG on how i am liking the dvd's .Why not going on and get them? Get them whil they are on sale. Thanks Tink for your advice on it. Really was appreciated. I came on her for advice about these exercise videos not to turn it into something sexually. I am done with this post.
JackJack Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 The title does say "striptease" so its not uncommon it would turn into something sexual.
