BeFree Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 yes BEFREE....people who actually have something going for them or who have something to offer are meeting people in the real world, not thru wires and routers and CPUs and browsers. thats why you meet so many wierdos of both sexes in online dating. What are you trying to say......Are you calling me a geek with no life?? I met my man in person. What you doin today?
Author luvtoto Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 who have something to offer are meeting people in the real world, not thru wires and routers and CPUs and browsers. Well, I gave up dating online last year. Then, I joined LS. I've become forum friends with so many neat & interesting people here. I just figured that, maybe there were some other neat people on that online site. But, nothing will ever compare to Loveshack.
alphamale Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 But, nothing will ever compare to Loveshack. I agree LUBTOTO, but don't delude yourself into thinking that LS relationships are real relationships. They are not.
Author luvtoto Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 I agree LUBTOTO, but don't delude yourself into thinking that LS relationships are real relationships. They are not. thanks for bursting my bubble..OLPHAMALE.
dgiirl Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 When I email guys, I like to joke around...but, none of these guys seem to have a sense of humor...AT ALL! If you joke around, I'm assuming that they are assuming I am crazy or unstable. Everybodies just so damn serious and no fun. Like, "Hello. How are you this nice evening? I sure do like your smile in your photo." Bland as hell!! So, whenever I spice my replies up a bit...be clever or unique...I never get replies. If I keep it boring...I get noticed. Ugh. I feel like I can't be myself. Just keep being yourself! You dont want to be around anyone who doesnt get your sense of humour anyways I have the MOST geekiest profile online, but I think it's also funny and upbeat. If I'm going to date anyone, they're going to have to appreciate my geekyness Also, try a few different online dating sites. I'm on okcupid.com (someone on LS mentioned it, i forget who, and I like it, it's fun AND free) I havent met anyone on it yet, but it's nice to talk to guys, just for the practice, and it has a nice community aspect to it that match or date dont have.
Author luvtoto Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 I agree LUBTOTO, but don't delude yourself into thinking that LS relationships are real relationships. They are not. That is a very good statement. I try not to take things too seriously here.

First and foremost that's bull defecation to be PC. People who have something to offer? Like a big rack or a Gucci suit? Because other than that anything other is pretty evident through words. And last but not least THIS is the sort of "hot" thread Smoochie warned us to stay away from. Sheesh!

Great site and I didn't think it was alright to post names on here but OkCupid, Emode, Nerve Personals, etc are all great examples of places FILLED with quality, funny, intelligent to and Alphie's dismay dead gorgeous guys. But as I said in another post, regular discussion forums and/or chatrooms on one's favourite topic seem to work even better.

Pyro Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Riddler said those gorgeous guys were just alloys to get our money. Not all of them. If one takes forever to reply back to you or does not reply back, then they are after your money.

You know, some individuals out in the world, including some of our own here on LS have tried online dating and have actually met their S.O. via online. Contrary to an earlier post, its not just weirdo's that try online dating. Don't give up your search Luvtoto, but definitely keep trying in the real world as well.
Author luvtoto Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 Don't give up your search Luvtoto Thanks Riddler. I figure, it's not hurting anything by having my pic out there with a way to get ahold of me. but definitely keep trying in the real world as well. Oh, I will! Married men not wearing their rings...here I come! Yes, that was a joke. By the way, Riddler, how long was your dry spell?
Pyro Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Thanks Riddler. I figure, it's not hurting anything by having my pic out there with a way to get ahold of me. Oh, I will! Married men not wearing their rings...here I come! Yes, that was a joke. I work with a couple of guys that don't wear their rings. Unhappily married I guess.

Married men not wearing their rings...here I come! Yes, that was a joke. By the way, Riddler, how long was your dry spell? Starting from puberty, it was about 6 years. I never had a relationship until I was 18.
Author luvtoto Posted May 9, 2006 Author Posted May 9, 2006 Starting from puberty, it was about 6 years. I never had a relationship until I was 18. You never dated at all in H.S.? That's sad.
Pyro Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 You never dated at all in H.S.? That's sad. No, not once. My fault though. I was overly shy, I lacked self-esteem and I was very anti-social. I have come a very long way since. I almost want to go to my highschool reunion just to show everyone whom I have become. They probably won't even remember me. Though I always wonder just how highschool would have been if I went there knowing what I now know and how i am now.
Author luvtoto Posted May 12, 2006 Author Posted May 12, 2006 Hahahahahaha!!! OMG! This is my last online dating email. Freakin' hilarious! "man, does it look like you have bucks, i am starting feel old and i want more what is it the sweat that makes me old" I swear. I didn't change a word. By the way, I got a couple a hotties on the line........
big_girls_rock Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Been there, done that. It is possible that maybe they arn't paying customers and they actually can't reply to your messages.
