I have heard people tell me that I am easy to talk to because I constantly have a smile on my face. i can be shy sometimes. You would be surprised how often the female comes up to me and starts a conversation. i am surprised by it myself. Sometimes it may take a couple of alcoholic drinks to get rid of my butterflys to strike up a conversation. Overall, it just takes meeting the right kind of person, the one that you can click with for anything like that to happen. I hope that you are not getting frustrated because of your lack of luck. I have been through my "dry spell" before many of times. Just be patient. It will happen when you are not thinking about it.

The more men you talk to, the better chance you have of meeting someone. Not to mention it does wonders for your self esteem. you start talking to men and they start talkling back and you get more confident and it shows. Its a wonderful cycle. Way better than digging through profiles, trying to uncover if someone looks the way you think they do or if they are a nice or funny as they seem. Girl, get out there and Meet some men!

If you're too funny or goofy, it comes across as a bit crazy. You have to strike that balance which is difficult. And it's made even harder by the fact that it's text only. So there's no critical non-verbal messages to add context to the text. And yeah, a lot of people are extremely generic. I can't count how many profiles have the usual "I like to have fun and I'm looking to meet new people..." type message. Duh! That's what we are all there for! I'm almost tempted to write an anti-profile with the exact opposite of all the boring cliches... I'm sure it would get some interesting responses. I feel better now. This has been my whole impression of online dating. In my profile, I put in "Well, I guess the 100 plus adjectives I used in the 'profile' section weren't enough..." I am anxiously waiting for the mods on the site to erase my remark.

I opted to finish a project in my son's room. My love life took a back seat that night. He appreciated it. But, I know, I need to get out more.

But you really need to take time out for you. But meeting men does not have to be just about going to parties. It can be as simple as striking up a conversation at the post office or the store or starbucks. You just have to have an presence that says: "hi, I'm Luvtoto and I am a hot single woman with a big smile that wants to see what your about."

I once wrote along time ago to a guy, "Hey, you look like a challenge!" He wrote back with a really funny remark like "Wha? Like a challenge in the bedroom?" We hit it off from there. He ended up breaking my heart. Where are all the funny guys? Just bland, boring and stale.

Also, try talking to guys that you would normally not consider your type. that's how I met my BF. Girl, I would have never picked up a construction worker/electrican. I am soo happy I did. IMO. yes BEFREE....people who actually have something going for them or who have something to offer are meeting people in the real world, not thru wires and routers and CPUs and browsers. thats why you meet so many wierdos of both sexes in online dating.
