mereduke Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Well it has been one week exactly since I fessed up to my best friend that I had feelings for him. We went to the awards ceremony and his family was there. It was great. They told him they liked me a lot. Him and I went for drinks afterwards and during that time I told him (basically) that I couldn't be friends with him anymore because I had feelings for him. He didn't really respond and I told him he didn't owe me any kind of explantation or defenses. Well as soon as we left there his demeanor changed. (BTW, he had 2 beers so he wasn't drunk). When we got back to his house we kissed...a big kiss. He initiated it. The next day he called me three times. Then I didn't hear from him for 2 days. Well he saw me in town with my roommate and we spoke, he told me he would call me the next day (friday). He did call. Once while he was at the concert he was at (I didn't anwser). Once on his way home and once when he got home. In which he started talking about "why doesn't anyone want me" and being shot down at a bar he was at. I finished up the convo. nicely saying that I am not his therapist and I don't want to hear about other girls. I talked to him saturday (I called) and he mentioned wanting to eat at a restaurant thats in my town. But didn't ask me out. So what the hell is going on? Is he just not that into me? Oh I left out the greatest part...when I talked to him the next day he said "I had a lot of fun kissing you" in which I replied "yeah so why did you do that" (trying to get him to let me know where we stood). Well he said "whats wrong with a little friendly kiss" HELP!! I am really upset b/c he is suppose to care about me as a friend and you would think he would be honest. I just don't want to be strung along. I haven't talked to him since Sat. afternoon. I am considering just not picking up the phone when he calls. I feel like I deserve to be treated better than this!! What do you guys think??
Yamaha Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 I think his interest level in you isn't high enough for him. He knows how you feel but he would rather go to a bar and look at other women then spend it with you. I would back off and let him come to you if he really wants something more than friendship.
