Brweyes31 Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 What do these labels mean to you? I'm new to the dating scene and was wondering about the differences between casual dating, seeing someone, and boyfriend/girlfriend? There seems to be a thin line between dating and boyfriend/girlfriend relationships.....
nicki Posted April 29, 2006 Posted April 29, 2006 Welcome back to the dating world! For me, casual dating means dating one or a few guys, but not sleeping with any of them. It's getting to know several people. It can stay casual, or can become more with ONE of them. Boyfriend/girlfriend would mean that I'm sleeping with someone in an exclusive relationship. "Seeing someone" means boyfriend/girlfriend to me, but I suppose it could mean that you are seeing one person either casually or exclusively, but maybe not serious. Just my 2 cents. It's probably best to discuss those definitions with women you go out with -- just to make sure you are on the same page! Have fun. Go forth and date!
