RecordProducer Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I was inspired by another thread to start this one. Although my husband disagrees, I think his two ex-wives are very much alike. Not only that, but his twin brother and another brother have wives with similar facial features, although they are don't really look like the ladies mentioned above. They all have long faces, small noses, nice and not so big lips, brown eyes, straight blond hairs, fair complexion, and both his ex-wives are very slim. I don't look anything like them as a type. So I was wondering if your exes and/or current partner are alike. My guys are totally not alike, although I do stick to the long-face, slim guys with fair complexion.

Physically: they have all had blonde hair and blue eyes, just a coincidence. Mentally: this doesn't include my S.O., but both my ex's were very insecure.
Citizen Erased Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 My partners have all be been complete opposites to each other physically, emotionally etc.
whichwayisup Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I prefer darker hair. Blonde haired men or redheaded men just don't do it for me. My hubby has dark hair.
Curmudgeon Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 The ex and my wife are polar opposites physically and in every other way. The ex is short and very curvaceous. My wife is tall and very slender. Facially they're nothing alike except they both have dark hair and fair complexions. The ex has dark brown eyes and my wife has blue eyes. Most of all, their personalities are totally diferent.
Craig Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 So I was wondering if your exes and/or current partner are alike (physically.) Nope. Dated the full range physically from ugly as a Chinese Crested Hairless http://samugliestdog.com/ (ya gotta look at that critter!) to what is generally considered to be very beautiful women (real lingerie models and real t.v. ad actresses), skinny as a stick, curvy, boy butt, stacked, obese, etc., etc., blond, brunette, red and black hair, curly, wavy and straight (long and short) hair. Athletic, fit, normal & couch potato. Tall 6'2" and shorter 5' Dark brown, light brown, blue, green and gray eyes. Round face, long face, etc. My age, older and younger than me...you get the picture. The most interesting (from my point of view) thing is that most of them had multiple degrees. I like intelligent women that aren't afraid to show their intelligence, be themselves, have a sense of humor, look to the adventure in life and acknowledge that they are human.
grateful Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 Not very - - When it comes to men, I've dated the rainbow, ethnically speaking. I guess I like variety in all aspects: Dated tall, short, skinny, built, jocks, punks, ravers, hip hop headz, multiple degrees, high school drop outs, choir boys, and petty criminals. I for the most part preferred smart guys however, I went through a phase where I picked hot guys with no, I mean, no brains and I used them for their bodies. I guess I wanted to see what it was like to impersonate a frat boy. Hee hee!
blind_otter Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 I likes me some white boys for some reason. Almost all of them were white, with light brown/reddish blond hair and light eyes. And almost all of them were tall and tan and muscular. My exH had brown eyes and was short, but tan and muscular. Both my sisters like white guys too, go fig.

Do you remember John Derek's 3 wives: Ursulla Andres, Linda Evans, and Bo Derek? I think they look like triplets. Linda and Bo look the same to me.
Curmudgeon Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 So John was in a rut. Not a bad one if you have to be in one but a rut nonetheless.
Craig Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Sounds like you've had 467 women! Hardly, LOL. They just all happened to be very different physically and the combinations I mentioned could be had in 5 different women.
Rosalind Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 all physically different from each other...nothing in common, 'cept they were all years younger than me

Please clone yourself for the sake of womankind. Donate sperm, I beg you! I don't have a physical type. No pattern to my past. Smart is good. Smarter than me is even better, but hard to find
KnowHowLoveFeels Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Ok, I have to answer this one as I am curious about the differences in men as well. LOL I've only dated and slept with my H, who looks nothing like me. He has light features (green eyes and dark blond hair) and is "round". However, the man I find myself madly in love with is just the opposite: dark hair, tall, well toned, and has chiseled facial features. I look very much like this person, and I think that's part of the reason why I am so attracted to him. I haven't met many people (men and women) with my features. BTW, we've been mistaken for being siblings... that's how much we look alike! Does that make me sick???????
Walk Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 All my ex's were similar appearance wise... blonde hair, short cropped, with blue eyes. Taller guys in the 6 foot range, or really close to it. All had expensive tastes, liked fashionable clothing (to a degree), were interested in basically the same things. And intelligent. Guy I'm dating now is dark haried, brown eyed, still tall. Doesn't give a rip about fashion or materialistic things. Thinks outdoor sports means a fold out chair and a caraf of coffee. Biggest difference is their outlook on life. All my ex's were very much into status and appearance. I'm not and my current isn't either, so I think we are more compatible in that way. My brother always goes for the same type of woman, and has horrible relationships. But they're all blonde haired, blue eyed, rail thin flighty women. He wants the trophy wife, but can't afford her.... I heard this bogus study on people who look similiar seem to have a higher success at marriage. You look at some couples and they look exactly the same. Kind of creepy sometimes. Like the poster above was saying, some of these couples look like brother/sisters. But I think there may be a grain of truth in there somewhere, not a very big one, but maybe a small grain. Of course, I've seen dog owners who look like their dogs... so what's that say about them..?
Author RecordProducer Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 we've been mistaken for being siblings... that's how much we look alike! Does that make me sick???????I think this is totally not in the "sick zone". I've noticed this with celebrities too; e.g. Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow look like siblings to me (both have thin, angled faces, fair complexion, blond hair, light eyes, little noses, and cute, childish lips...) I however don't like guys with my facial features. I have a baby face, not masculine at all and I like masculine guys. Actually what I like to see in a girl (sensual features, mellow lips, small noses... perfection) - I don't like in men. I don't like when men look like dolls or too sensual or too perfect for that matter.
alphamale Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 My guys are totally not alike, although I do stick to the long-face, slim guys with fair complexion. did not you say once that all your dudes had big cocks? all my women were Crazy...
Author RecordProducer Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 did not you say once that all your dudes had big cocks? all my women were Crazy...Not all of them! I've had small, soft, quick...
prfrogkisser Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 When i started dating after high school most men I dated were tall with dark hair and eyes and hispanic. I guess because I grew up within a close hispanic family I was looking to keep it day way(within my own culture) As i became mature and wiser and then moved to the USA I decided to venture into white guys. I now prefer men with totally different physical features than mine and if they look good in a military uniform even better:rolleyes: Unless they are super pasty white with freckles :lmao:
basscatcher Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I have dated most types. I tend to be more drawn to two types particularly. Tall, thin build w/long hair or a little taller then me and stalky, either bald or very, very short hair blue or brown eyes. dark brown to light brown hair. skin tone that tans. I love a man with a butt. The eyes and butt are my biggest physical turn- ons.
alphamale Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I have dated most types. have you dated black dudes? um, yeah....I forgot, there are no minorities in Minnesota
grateful Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I love a man with a butt. I think this answers Alphamale's question. She must have found the few wandering around super white MN.
basscatcher Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 have you dated black dudes? um, yeah....I forgot, there are no minorities in Minnesota NO I haven't...(I said MOST) My dad would have killed me-- until this last year. He really liked is nurses aid and said he had no problem with him if I wanted to date him. (the guy was asking me out and I kept saying NO-we can only be freinds.) For your information: I've dated 3 spanish decents, 1 Filipino, 2 italians, 2 native americans, 1 muslim, 2 germans, most of the others were of French decent. Yes, there are a lot of minorities in Minnesota Minnesota has a lot of blacks. Go downtown in the warehouse district on a saturday night. The streets are lined with them picking up white chicks. Not my flavor.
alphamale Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Yes, there are a lot of minorities in Minnesota I don't think so... According to the year 2000 US Census the average percentage of white folk in the entire country is 75.1%. The state of Minnesota is 89.4% white. Thats quite a statistical difference.
