If you want false eyelashes to look more natural, I wear them EVERYDAY, and as loud and BLUE as my eyemakeup is, my eyelashes are one of the few things people think are real, here is how :

1. Buy a set of cheap strip (not individual clump) eyelashes from a Walgreens or other drugstore. Try the brand Ardell. Make sure you get some spiky, spaced out ones that look odd in comparison to the other, fuller, blacker ones.

2. Buy a SEPERATE tube of adhesive (it will last you YEARS, haha). Try Duo brand.

3. Apply a THIN line of adhesive to JUST BELOW the strip where the eyelashes are attacthed, an using your finger, smudge the glue until its is nearly transparent and on the strip, but still slightly under (you'll understand when you see a falsie, trust me).

3 1/2. (Optional) Apply mascara first if you want a falser, lifted look, and/or curl lashes if your eyelashes are short like mine, to porivide a base for the lash to sit on.

4. Place eyelash on inner lid first, making sure this edge is fastened securely to your eyelid before you move the lash downwards towards your outer lid, try and get it as close to your lashline as possible. Tuck the outer corner of the lashes into your outer lashline almost as if trying to get them in your eye itself, secure the middle area by pressing quite lightly after about five seconds of the glue drying.

5. Repeat step four for next eye.

6. Since falsies are quite long, you may want to apply mascara a bit heavier to your lower lashline (if you use it there at all) to even out the length on the bottom. They sell falsies for the bottom lashline, but they rarely work right (unless you're an EXPERT), and NEVER look natural.

6 1/2. If you did'nt apply mascara earlier (or even if you did), you have the option of applying it now. If you do, apply it a bit lighter then you usually would, skipping the roots and aiming to get the tips coated. Then (AND THIS IS CRUCIAL FOR A NATURAL LOOK), press the tips (gently please!) into the falsies, making them one mass.

7. Upon removal of the lashes, peel SLOWLY starting at outer eyelid, and store on the tray they came with. If too clumpy with mascara, toss them (come on, you're only out a couple bucks)

Keep eyelashes for two or three weeks. Although me and a few of my friends have actually figured out a system of cleaning them, this should only be attempted as experimentation at first. I have a pair I've kept hygenic and pretty for a year and a half.

Since this dissertation is SOOOOOOOOOO long, it may seem complicated. But once you've gotten it down, it's like riding a bike, you won't forget.

I know someone who goes to Mac because they cut the eyelashes to fit your eye (if you are interested in a more natural look).
