Guppy Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 The man that I was madly in love with died just over a year ago. I am in a happy relationship but found my soulmate and fell in love. Plans of children and growning old with him died with him. Hurting my current partner was always going to be hard, so when my love and furture died, I decided that there was no point in hurting him now. A year on, I am still in so much pain and am going crazy with the lie I am living and hiding my pain from just about everyone. I feel so alone. Is there anyone else out there that has/is going through the same?
SoleMate Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 There was a poster called MourningMM who lost her married lover to a heart attack. It sounds very sad...the loss of dreams, and no hope for a future. I'm sorry.
tikigods Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 I am so so sorry to hear your story, when I worked at Kinkos a woman would come in often to make copies of pictures of the man she was going to marry. She found what helped was talking about him (I liekd to listen ) and tring to keep the good memories alive while taking each day one step at a time
Brittanyjean06 Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Wow :-( that is so sad to hear, it just breaks my heart honestly it does. You can't hide the pain you are going through, or to make your self believe you are happy, you gotta let your self feel it, talk about it to others.
Author Guppy Posted April 19, 2006 Author Posted April 19, 2006 Talking about him helps so much, yet of those people who knew him and knew about us are uncomfortable talking about him. Creating the website dedicated to him (http://www.mypapasito.com/) also helped. I 'talk' often with the people in my online grief group, but finding someone in the same situation to talk to would be so good. I can certainly relate to the woman who often came in to make copies of her photos. I also obsessively printed so many copies of the photos that I had.
Walking away Posted April 19, 2006 Posted April 19, 2006 Beautiful website. I am so sorry for your loss.

Author Guppy Posted April 21, 2006 Author Posted April 21, 2006 I am glad that you liked it. As the saying goes, he may not have been perfect, but he was perfect for me and I miss him so much. He made me laugh (lots) and I loved him so much .
