When a girl starts calling you her "buddy/friend"?

Posted

it means you've been tossed into the friendzone and all hopes of becoming her slave is lost. Search keyword "friend zone" for more information.

Thanks, thats what I kinda thought it ment. I was just unsure since the last girl he called me her "buddy" all of a sudden was breaking up with her long distance bf and looking for someone new.

Yes they tell you that because they consider you just a friend - like they tell their female friends. I've been there too many times myself. Peace.

new question, same situation, different girl... What does it mean when she says "I love you"?

^ sorry if I was unclear above, the girl is a classmate who I just recently became friends with in the past month, and one day, after flirting with her for most of the period, while leaving the class I told a joke that she laguhed at pretty hard. I said goodbye right after I told the joke and she responded with "I love you"

Well, if you're not in a bf/gf situation, in a well defined manner, "I love you" after you say something funny is probably meant in the same context of "I love that song". I tell my best friend (male) that I love him every time I see him, but it's in a completely innocent way. Don't take it seriously unless it is said in a more serious moment.

It means nothing, give more info next time with who this girl is. We're not mind readers.

Jeez, no need to be harsh. You the L.S. critic? Hopping about and critiquing posters.

Sorry I posted the whole story once, but something happened and it all got erased... So anyway, we met at a mutual friends party a little while ago and talked and hung out most of the time we were there(8 or so hours). We both go to the same school but never noticed each other until after this party. So now whenever we see each other in the halls we'll stop and say hi and have a short chat. When I'm with other people she knows she'll come up and just say high to them, but then say things like "hey buddy" or "high friend" to me.

new question lol. Ok so this involves the first girl who I like, the one who calls me her buddy/friend when I first see her. Since the way she says it is usualy in a kinda playful/flurty way, I decided to ask her to prom. She said no because she was already going with a group of her friends, but then asked if I wanted to come with the group she was going with. Since I didn't have a group I said it sounded fun and I would. I only know 1 other person in the group and thats a person(we'll call her girl b) I met at the same party as the girl I like. And from talking with girl b it sounds my girl never asked the rest of the group if it was okay If I came too. They're all fine with it now that I've talked to them and they think I'm a cool guy. But through all this, does it realy seem like the girl I like has put me into the friendzone?
