I'm one of those girls but I would never tell someone to make no effort in order to appear less attractive. I had a friend who looked like Kelly Taylor from 90210 while I was short, brunette and little overweight. I have never got any attention while out with her and guys have actually turned their backs on me while talking to her and she would never say nothing about that. Now I have issues with my appearance, self-esteem and worth.

You complain about inappropriate attention or attracting the wrong men but your other friends aren't even getting an opportunity. It's more than jealousy, no one likes to feel dispensible and worthless, like the third wheel all the time.

You can't help that situation though. That's why I hang out with people that are similar to me and have confidence so they don't feel like the "3rd wheel".
