movinon05 Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 I have gotten rid of everything my MM ever gave me except one. It is a ring that he bought for our "5th" anniversary. Can I just go to any jewelry store or do I have to go to a pawn shop. I wouldn't even know where they are. I want this out of my life and I could use the money. Any suggestions?
Curmudgeon Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Many jewelers will purchase items either for resale or to reuse the metal and stones. Neither they nor pawn shops will pay a whole lot because retail jewelry is heavily marked-up.
Author movinon05 Posted April 15, 2006 Author Posted April 15, 2006 I don't care what they pay. I just want this one last thing out of my life. Its useless sitting in my drawer. They could actually resell it in its condition. I also want to get rid of my weddings rings as they are useless sitting there as well. Thanks.
Sami_D Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Go to both and get quotes on the lot. YAY to getting rid of 'stuff'
target-d Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 E-bay is a good place to sell stuff, too. Getting rid of the stuff that he gave you is a really great idea - it helps you move him out of your life.
