Two years ago, I admitted him that I like to watch porn (which he thought was cool, since his last girlfriend was an Andrea Dworkin worshipper who searched his drawers daily for "evidence" that he had been watching "smut".) Lately, we've been talking about watching porn togather during intercourse. It's always been a fantasy of mine, which is something he knows. He agrees to fool around with me to porn two weeks ago, but my internet was down. I asked him if he had any video porn. He says no, that he hasn't owned a porn since he's been with me. That he hasn't watched it since he's been with me. I say, "It would be o.k. if you did, I do sometimes" and he says "No, I just don't anymore." And, he was acutually a little offended that I did (he asked about his "endowment" in relation to the guys I watch, ect.) and told me not to watch without him. Well, I am just hanging out at his place the other day and helping him with his laundry and I crawl under his bed to reach for a dirty sock and what do I find, but PORN! I decided to snoop and find that it is still in its bag, complete with receipt that was dated to two months ago! I wasn't THAT mad, but I just wonder. Why would he do this? I don't want to scare him or breach his privacy, but should I talk to him about this? Are all guys hypocrits, who enjoy porn, but don't want their girlfriend to watch it? Should I be mad at him? -Fluff

Maybe he likes watching it himself but doesn't like the idea of you doing the same & sizing him up to the pornstars.
electric_sheep Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 People often have mixed feelings about porn. It could be he is not so much being a hypocrite as it is he just feels uneasy about it. My gf and I watched a porno and had sex together after only being together a month or two. At the risk of launching into a bit of anti-porn crusading here, I'll simply say I didn't find it erotic. We were still solidly in the "romantic" stage, and seeing sex portrayed so causually and without any emotions or spirituality really turned me off. Could be that is what is going through his head. How about lesbian scenes ? How about some softcore ? How about just watching it during foreplay, then turning it off so it's not so distracting. Try and get him to talk about it, but beware that macho guy s*** may keep him from fully sharing his true feelings with you.

He'd just gotten used to hiding it, so he continued that behavior with you... Then again, he's been with for 3 years. Maybe he's just always been uneasy about it?

I bought a DVD from the "recommended for couples" section of a shop and showed it to her. She was nitpicking at it at first "How can she do that?"..."Her vagina is a strange shape!" (to be fair, the DVD wasn't all that great) but she did kind of relax into it eventually. She was watching one scene and said "OK, that's actually turning me on". Later that night we had probably the most intense sex that we ever had. I thoroughly recommend watching together!
