Lishy Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Last Saturday I went to my good friends, mum's 70th birthday party which I helped to organise as a surprise. Anyway I got talking to a guy who my friend had dated years ago and they are friends now. he was so sweet and we ended up back at my friends house (with her new boyfriend) and I ended up kissing him all night, he was such a gentleman and didnt once try to go further. He said the sweetest things to me and he asked for my number. All of my friends know him and they have all said how nice he is and that he is a genuine guy. We both fell asleep on the sofa and slept there all night. I was woken by him kissing me on the mouth as he was leaving but I fell back to sleep and when I woke he had gone home. I would really like to see this guy again but it is now Wednesday and he has not called me. I told him that I don't give my number out alot and he got me to give it to him by texting me in front of me and asking me what number to send it to. He then said "well I have your number now, I will call you" I hate all of this dating crap! Why cant it all be simple? And why has he not bloody called!
alphamale Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 I would really like to see this guy again but it is now Wednesday and he has not called me. chill, man, its only been 4 days.
Author Lishy Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 Seriously Alpha if you was interested in a girl would you not have called by 4 days?
SmoochieFace Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Seriously Alpha if you was interested in a girl would you not have called by 4 days? Maybe he's not interested.
alphamale Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Seriously Alpha if you was interested in a girl would you not have called by 4 days? no, i wouldn't. i usually call within 7 to 10 days but i do let her know that up front. I'll say: "i'll call you within the next week or so..."
blind_otter Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 This is why, when asked for my number, I never, ever, ever give it out. I only get numbers. Guys have to date me a while before they get my number. My current BF didn't have my number the first 3 weeks we dated. I always say, well you never know whose a crazy person. A girl's gotta look out for herself. Then it turns out that I'm the crazy person, but by then they're addicted to the poontang. Keeps them on their toes. Turns the tables.

Author Lishy Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 He didnt say when he would call and to be honest I didnt even think about it until Monday when it hit me that I would like him to call me! Maybe he is not interested but he gave me all the signs that he was! He was so sweet and from what I have heard he is not the kind of guy to say things he does not mean. I was also thinking that maybe he feels awkward because he dated my friend years ago!
Author Lishy Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 BO I would never call a guy first so I would not take their number! Art you are normally right so I am gonna forget this guy and if he calls he calls and if not then its his loss!

I enjoy messing with the ways of the world, man. That's just how I roll, what can I say? I'm missing out on guys who judge women basedon whether they give out their phone number? Heck, that rules out every chick whose ever been stalked. Hell no I'm not doing that unless I get like a criminal history and a mental status exam. That's JMO, though, take it with a grain of salt.
Author Lishy Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 You have the right idea BO - Stay in control and dont rely on someone else to drive the ship! Personally I would not call a guy first (however much I liked him)so I would not ask for his number as it would be fruitless. Its a shame tho cos I rarely give my number out as I rarely meet a guy worthy of it! Mr Driveby tried to get it back on and I kicked him to the curb! What goes around comes around!
alphamale Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 You have the right idea BO - Stay in control and dont rely on someone else to drive the ship! shut up LISHY!

Art you are normally right so I am gonna forget this guy and if he calls he calls and if not then its his loss! If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you always get. The phone works both ways. Who's experiencing the loss now?
Author Lishy Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 shut up LISHY!  How dare you tell me to shut up on my own thread! And Craig ........ SHUT UP!
Craig Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 And Craig ........ SHUT UP! Sigh, sorry about that...you talk, I'll just listen and nod in agreement.
Author Lishy Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 Sigh, sorry about that...you talk, I'll just listen and nod in agreement. Thassa boy! You know it makes sense! :lmao:
blind_otter Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Could be he has just been unusually busy. No one is too busy to make a 15 minute phone call. I'm sorry, if your day is so jam-packed that you can't at least call while you're taking a crap, you have time management issues.
Art_Critic Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 Could be he has just been unusually busy. If a girl I kissed all night long with and then fell asleep with gave me her number I would call her if I was interested.. busy or not.. Just how busy does someone have to be to not pick up the phone ? I love that excuse.. maybe he was busy He is either not comfortable calling or not interested.. I go for the latter unless he calls in a week for a booty call..
alphamale Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 No one is too busy to make a 15 minute phone call. . especially now a days....with cell phones and all. the "i'm too busy" excuse does not cut it anymore. a betteer excuse is that your cell phone was lost or the battery died
Art_Critic Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 especially now a days....with cell phones and all. the "i'm too busy" excuse does not cut it anymore. a betteer excuse is that your cell phone was lost or the battery died How about the my girl friend broke my phone when she found out we necked all night so I couldn't call you excuse ?

I saw both the garbage men this morning chatting away on their respective cell phones while getting my garbage. Which would be a nightmare if they dropped the phone, but whatever. Maybe they never heard of a headset. There's a whole backstreet boys song about "my battery is low, I gotta goooo"
electric_sheep Posted April 12, 2006 Posted April 12, 2006 I've been too busy to make a phone call like that. It's not a matter of not having 15 minutes ... it's a matter of finding a peaceful and stress free moment to make such a call. If you live a really hectic life, that is not always easy. If you consider it an important phone call, you don't want to make it while you are late for your Aerobics class, and someone is waiting in the car for you while your on the toilet. You want to be more at peace. Of course, I agree ... it's unlikely. Still, I wouldn't totally give up hope till a week had passed. Only time will tell who is right.
Author Lishy Posted April 12, 2006 Author Posted April 12, 2006 If he was interested he would have called on Monday! I knew that answer I just needed to voice it to re-affirm it! If he was interested I would know about it! End of! I need to stop analysing and get real! I believe that what should be will be!
