Elise Posted April 11, 2006 Posted April 11, 2006 this is the worst thing i've ever gone through. i'm a 29 year old girl, he's a 25 year old guy. completely gorgeous, utterly amazing...just a real catch. we've been inseperable for almost 4 years now...we're closer than will & grace, if that gives you an idea of how close we are. kinda like brother and sister.. he says he's bi, but he's only been on one date with a girl. he's mostly into guys, which rips the inside of my heart apart. we were meant to be together and i dream about it everyday. i picture us married with kids. we were just meant to be. this crush has consumed my life to the point where i've been in therapy for a year. my therapist and you guys are the only ones i tell. i don't know what to do. i don't think i'll ever tell him. ever. it would ruin our friendship. our friendship is too precious. god i hate life

You should start by trying to realize that false beliefs like this are holding you back. If it were true that you were meant to be together, you'd be together right now.

I'm not normally negative (well maybe I am!) but I have to agree with MadDog who has it spot on - nothing you do is going to change him. People have different and individual sexuality. He needs to find out who he is and work it out for himself. Don't hold out any hopes of some dream ending. Just keep a wonderful friendship intact.
