StevenS Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Alright, I hate to do the obvious and ask the same old question, but I would like to get someone else's objective opinion on this matter. There is this girl in my math class who I have liked since the class started. I would maybe talk to her casually very occasionally, but it wouldn't be that much. Just recently we got a new seating arrangement and I am sitting right next to her. (The there rows of 2 desks sitted next to eachother.) We have been talking a lot during the class, and I have been helping her out with the work. And when she got something right, she says things like "You should be proud of me." and things like that. I know this is a big sign, but I occasionally, how should I say it, brush upon her. Like our skin touches (the arm), and I do get somewhat close to her and she doesn't seem to mind when helping her out with work. She also seems to smile a lot around me and laughs at my jokes I guess. I just recently looked up that when the eye dialates when you are looking at someone it could possibly tell if they like you. I am also going to watch out if she crosses her legs and points at me. We are also having a Sadie Hawkins dance at our school coming up, so I thought this would be a perfect time to see if she really likes me, but is she waiting for me to make the first move? I think she might like me, but I am afraid that if I tell her I like her and she rejects me, I would feel really uncomfortable being around her after that since we sit so close to one another. Any advice is appreciated.

Today during lunch, she passed by me while I was sitting down and sort of patted me on the back and said "Hey buddy" or something to that effect. It was the first time she said "buddy", so I am hoping it was a one time thing. I think I am going to ask her out to that Sadie Hawkins dance because it is something for me to ask her about. It woudl also possibly show I want something more I suppose. Its alright to ask even though it suppose to be girls ask guys, right? I think that would show even more initative.
