I live in California. She lives in Oklahoma. What really constitutes a long distance relationship? I have a friend who lives in Sacramento and her boyfriend in San Francisco. It's an hour drive. They say that's long distance. Come on, 1600 miles to Oklahoma, that's long distance! How much distance is between you and your significant other? I would have to say that if you can get there in under two hours, it's not long distance.

I have been told that 250 miles radius from your home or residence constitute long distance, but i am not sure. neways..good luck to you!

I totally agree. I don't know, I (New York City) might be basis because my boyfriend (Arizona) is 2,633.5 miles (40 1/2hr car drive, 6hr plane ride) away. I would be UTTERLY blissful if he was even within a 4hr drive. I would see him every weekend if he were that close!

When my friends, who have significant other's living an hour or two away, and can get there by TRAIN or BUS if they're too lazy to drive, just get me so aggravated; ESPECIALLY if they tell me they can't handle it or make it work.

My boyfriend and I have been together for two years, going strong, and we still have one more year to go until he can move. We've had our struggles and down times, but have learned and grown from them, and have realized how much we love each other and want to some day take the "LD-" out of the "LDR"! We've realized that if you really WANT to be with that person, you MAKE it work.

To be honest, in my opinion, if you're not together, it doesn't matter how many miles are between you.

It's long distance.

An hour drive and a twenty hour drive still means you're sleeping alone tonight.
