My bestfriend's a smoker... she wont listen to what I have too say... I need ...

Okay so I have this best friend, and she smoke's, drinks, gets high... i dont know, my step dad and her dad has cancer!! My step dad has lung cancer, and I forgot the type of cancer her dad has.. well we had a talk about her smoking before and we was crying over the computer.. I told her if something happened to her, I dont know what I would do.. like... i told her if she dies, i will always be by her side... and shes a smoker and i hate it because i dont want nothing bad to happen to her, she said quitting isnt easy and she refuses too try.. we're only 15, so that makes it worse!! I will always be there for her, but she refuses to listen to me!! I told her how i felt about it because she was smoking and i was on the phone crying my eyes out, and she didnt seem to even care!! It's like, she hates me for caring.... what should i do??

Just leave her alone about it. You've told her how you feel, now back off. One day when a doctor tells her she's only got six months to live, chances are excellent she'll stop smoking. Meantime, it's one of the most addicting things in the world.

 

Sadly, she has parents who permit it...or who don't know she does it. In any case, she's being "cool" now. There is a chance she'll see the light and quit one day but if not illness or death will puff out her cigarettes.
