My best friend has been going out with his new gf for about two and a half months now am i being unreasonable to want to hang out with my best mate without the new girfriend for a while also he hardly talks to me online or the phone any more and i feel like everything is to much trouble for him i have known him for about 2 years and we are really close but now he is being distant and not like himself at all i have had hardly any contact with him for the past 2 months and what little i have had is akward i have tried to go out to pub cinema and other places with him but he says he can't make it and im not even invited to his birthday cause the new gf doesn't like me was i only a friend till someone better came along, should i cut my loses and tell him we to go i don't have many friends but i always put them first and it would be nice if my so called best mate would do the same for me its not like i want to be joined at the hip to him but still i would like him to make some time for me

am i being selfish please help:(

been there...

Just think, if things don't work out with his GF... guess who's phone will be ringin'??? Back off... Y should you go kissin' butt just to get him to own up to his 50% of the friendship??? Do you're own thing... keep your distance... no sense in making it worse by questioning him.

Why don't you both agree on a day every week to hang out with each other just have one day for each other to hang out and catch up on things without his girlfriend around.

not sure that im that sort of person that is comfortable being the best friend only when there mate is single and/or needs putting back together seems one sided to me i mean i'll be there for him when she dumps him which she will she likes to sleep around cause i have always prided myself on being a bloody good friend, but im also worried that he might catch something off her is there a way i can put this so he won't hate me a that he'll be careful he is a little naive when it comes to love and relationships.
