"plain Sick and Wrong " is a rather strong statement Jen_Jen. What exactly is sick and wrong about wanting to wear a diaper? Is is quite a strange thing to do IMHO , but sick and wrong, rather funny if you ask me , but you did'ent. Personally I prefer the Fuc* me heels and some babyoil . Is that Sick and Wrong too? And who gets to decide?

Everybody is entitled to their opinion...Like it or not. A thread like this is going to cause some reactions, good and bad.

And...Notice yet how the original poster has not come back to reply???? Just sayin'...:)

True.

I just wish people weren't jumping all over eachother for sharing their thoughts and then getting attacked...Is it worth it?? :(

Now, GO read the thread I started in the watercooler - That egg joke. It's funny!

art, i'm sorry if we have a difference of opinion here

I see what you mean and I'm sorry if you took it that way.

maybe you should read through my last post again...and the rest of the thread, and see that my intentions were to show a few people that their actions were downright mean things to say...and uncalled for. I guess maybe all of us, myself included, should think about keeping our mouths shut sometimes

It's a shame that people with zero medical or psychological knowledge are so swift to designate themselves arbitrator of what constitutes 'normal' and so eager to censure those they consider 'sick'.

IF people would take the time to inform themselves about fetishism, they would learn that fetishes aren't 'sick' for the most part. One theory about how fetishes develop is that some sort of everyday act or object becomes associated with sex when the child becomes aroused while in contact with it. So if baby OP got horny wearing his diaper, it patterned 'sex = diapers' in his baby brain.

There is also another theory about infantilism that people are longing to go back to a time in their lives when they were comforted and cared for - possibly because they lacked affection or care in their youth.

So to call someone who didn't choose a fetish but has just had it pattern in his brain 'sick' is just plain mean.

Sorry, OP, that some people here feel they have a right to condemn others. I can't help you with info on your particular taste but there is one poster who has brought the topic up several times and she might reply. I think she has several links. You really are best to find a site that caters to people with the same interest, I think.

Okay response to OP and others.

Like I said I did not know it had a name.

I only know I talked to someone who told me they wanted to wear diapers and be treated like a baby and its a * fetish * meaning someone likes to kiss feet , or wear diapers , or to be spanked or whatever ... I don't think its fair to label that person as sick or whatever because that is a sexual preference. I chose to understand and listen to this person because I was curious.

I did not know there was a name for it and I did no further research.

But I would not call him sick. I would call him having a fetish. Rarely will there be someone out there that says : "I like to wear diapers " " I like to be spanked " " I like wearing silk panties " in society because that person would be ripped apart with criticism.

I instead chose to say " Really ? And why is that ? " and gained alot of understanding into why a grown man would want that. Since I did not research it further and only listened to this person I could not tell you what psychologists would say.

But lots of people have fetishes. If society does not understand the fetish they label that person as sick. Other than the cost of Pampers how is it harmful to YOU that this person decides he wants to wear one ? He is not hurting anyone and he is doing it in the privacy of his own home. We know of men who put on dresses but they are not sick or disturbed. They are living out a fetish. Bankers, Lawyers , Doctors have fetishes....Maybe YOUR doctor has one...

How can some say he is sick or disturbed ?

I had never heard of that before but my first reaction was curiousity . I am open minded and this is just another new thing. Just like Sushi....

I have dated men with fetishes, I find it very fascinating . Life was pretty routine until I stepped outside of the box and discovered a world of curious human beings ...

I agree with Outc...err I mean Guest. Who are we to judge what is sick? As long as they're not hurting anyone, why should it even matter.

The OP didn't even return. I think it was a troll, myself. That's happened here frequently.

Yes, definately a troll.

I feel like starting a thread as a troll.

Read over your own post again and tell me you're not describing the very definition of a mental dysfunction. A 'sickness'. Something goes wrong in youth and it creates an abnormal behavior pattern where a nonsexual object/person/situation becomes sexualized. Yes, fetishes are technically mental illnesses; they're codeable DSM diagnoses. No, they don't normally harm anyone, so let them be. For example, I have a masochism paraphilia I don't really talk about. I know it's a glitch in my noggin, but I'll be damned if someone's gonna tell me I can't enjoy being tied up, caged up, smacked around and dominated. (Only in a sexual context, of course!) But some people will be instinctually repelled by bad brain wiring; that's biology at work and it's only natural. No one's wrong here!

Response : I have had requests to tie someone up , and dominate them. It was a great experience because I always wondered what it would feel like tying someone up and having my way with them...Now I know :)
